Keeping an open mind: C-Section vs. Natural Vaginal Delivery (NVD) in TWINS!

I was going for Normal delivery and our consultant encouraged it. However the choice was taken out of our hands as twin 1 was breach so we had to have cs. I was like you and said if was necessary then I will go ahead with cs.

Hospital Bag for Twins...

I were fine with Pj's. My girls had lost a bit of weight and I was breastfeeding so they had to have formula but the hospital provided it. Try getting the New Born Pampers nappies as if they are born prem first size will be too big. They let me borrow a breast pump, as my colostrum didnt kick in straight away with them being early and also my boobs were so big the smallest one struggle latching on as her mouth was so tiny. Good Luck and enjoy, twins are grrreat! xx

Daytime Nap

Mine still have a nap although some days Nuala wont have one. But like Suzy I still leave them in there cots if they don't nap just to get a bit of a break myself. I never let them nap past 3pm as they go down for bed between 7-7.30pm until about 7-7.30am.

A religious/moral dilemma with OH's family

I wouldn't let anyone dictate to me anymore. I was married to my ex husband and his family were mormons. He was none religious too and we went ahead and got married as we wanted to non mormon! but we did want to do it abroad as we couldn't really afford a big shindig. But the inlaws said too many people wanted to be there ( I have the smallest family,he had a huge one) they promised to pay half if we did. So we did, but the week before the wedding they turned round and said they couldn't afford ...

NT scans

We had to have one due to my age and twins. We had a long discussion before we went and said that if it came back with high risk of downs, we would not have Amnio as I it would not change my mind about the pregnancy I just wanted to be more prepared if they were going to be if you know what I mean. My friend however had her bloods done and it came back high risk 1 in 20 she had amnio and everything showed up ok after this in fact 2 of my friends have been scared to death by the bloods results. I...

To co sleep or not to co sleep?

My two sleep well in there own cots. But the past couple of nights N has been poorly and has had to come in with us. However in the early hours I put her back in her cot and she sleeps ok. I don't sleep well when she is with us even at nearly two I get paranoid and check she is breathing ok. Just do what works best for you. My friend breastfeeds but has slowly at 18 weeks gone on to formula as her little one gets very hungry and finds that her little one sleeps better now. My other friend with t...

Yes they are TWINS!!

My friend was on holiday with her twins and this bloke stopped her and asked if they were twins, she said yes. Now they were fast asleep and the bloke shone his torch in the pram to have a look!!!! Then they had to move into the corner of hotel when they were out for dinner as the couldn't eat meal without being stopped.

Salt chat

I use Hovis Granary or Wholemeal. I wouldn't worry too much as long as you not adding salt to foods she should be ok.

PRAMS FOR TWINS

We had the first city wheels pram, I loved this pram but did take up too much space in the boot and getting thru some doorways was a pain it was just a couple of cms too big. I did love this pram thou and the girls were very comfy and could also sit side by side and see mummy at that same time, just wish they could of made it a little smaller for doorways, I could of put up with the it being big in the boot to be honest. We have been using a Mamas and Papas Buggy, but to be honest I don't think ...

Does anyone not have a car?

Please please please make sure you use a car seat. A friend of ours (an elderly couple) had a child who they had sat on Mummy's. The tragic thing is a car hit them and the mother crushed him on impact. ( sorry not a nice tale) but they are always telling people who they let children sit on mums knees not to do this. I would get 2 seats even for using in taxis, Maxi Cosi tends to fit in most cars.
