FREE CHILD CARE FOR 3 & 4 YEAR OLDS

Hi there Can someone please give me some more information about this - I am going to have to put DD into the care of a childminder as from NOvember and we are worried about how much it's going to all cost. She will be free at playgroup from Jan 2010 and after reading this it seems we may be able to get free childcare too. Is this right? If my childcare provider is part of this then would that mean 15 hours of free playgroup and childminder combined?

boy dies at somerfield news

I read that he was playing on a rail but it doesn't say if the rail was faulty or not. I am surprised they can think of suing so soon after his death.

Whats wrong with me? Excited about Christmas.

I'm the same, and was when it was E's first xmas - it was pretty magical even if E was 3 months old then! It makes it much more fun when there is a little one around!

Try Park Resorts - very reasonable and sites are nice. Or Haven.

tight clothes around belly

When I was PG I found tight things really uncomfortable, the baggier the better (and I agree with the seat belt, I couldn't bear that pressing on my bump!)

Holiday ideas???

Salou used to be really nice but I think now there's not really much going on there apart from shops and a few bars. Majorca is nice for kids - we would like to take Ella to this one: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Revie…ic_Islands.html Have done lots of research on it and there have been some very good write-ups too.

why are some people so rubbish with children?

Aw that's terrible. I thought you were going to say he eventually came back with the money, but he didn't. How can anyone be so cruel.

Treatment second time around

I figured out last night that it's been about 7 weeks since I started taking Met and I haven't had a period yet. Has anyone else experienced this whilst taking it?

Does anyone not have a car?

We have always had a car but as my DH needs the car for work, I have learnt to use the bus. We have the docs and shops near by and plenty of walks but if I needed to go out I have to do it round when DH is at work pre-work. I also have my shopping delivered which is a big big help.

Treatment second time around

Went to see the doc yesterday after I received my biopsy results. The results came back showing that there are no changes to the lining of my cervix with having PCOS. I asked her about treatment as I have severe PCOS and whether I would get it free, but she still didn't know! I have to ask the consultant when I go back in 5 months time. She said that taking metformin is a successful fertility enhancer and the chances of conceiving using it is very high. But I was on Met before but had to take cl...

flat head syndrome

Hi, Ella had this but it was to her right side and was caused by the forceps delivery. It was diagnosed as plagiocephaly and is very common. I was told by the doc to put her on her front a lot but to also encourage sitting propped up and that she will 'grow out of it'. A specialist in London told us it was actually a severe case and needed a helmet to help her. You also also try 'wedging' her head into a position where it will take the pressure off the flat side?

Pillows

Ella started having one at 2 years! Does she sleep a lot on her front? I was worried about her even using one at 2 years but she seemed fine with one.

Anyone else feel like this?

Oh god this is so true it's unreal! I had exactly the same when I had DD. You just don't know which direction to turn do you? Well just try to shrug it off, I'm sure you are doing things the right way, this is your baby, not theirs!
