current thinking on blood tests (down's) for twins?

Hi There I had the blood tests but like the others was told it wasn't accurate with twins and so therefore took it with a pinch of salt. i can't remember the results but I remember thinking it was quite good until I spoke to a friend who told me her test result and hers seemed thousands better then mine and so I went in to panic mode, wasn't long till that worry passed and I was consumed with another! x

Routine's with twins and general questions! - help please!

Ohhhh Csam, I am so with you missus! Firstly and most importantly you have to remember that this is just a stage that they are going through, of course it will get better, the challenges change but it definatley does get better. In a sane mind that would be so easy to see but when you are sleep deprived and feeling a little crazy it's not so easy eh! Could there be any chance that DS has Colic? My DS1 did similar stuff and used to throw himself around when we were holding him and so I tried a mi...

More of everything????

Natural horse - me too!!! Nothing quenched my thirst when I was pregnant and so I lived on ice poles! I also and I'm rather ashamed to admit this, had a compulsion to drink the vinegar out of the pickled onion jar. I easily went through a jar of old fashioned Garner pickled onions everyday and when I ran out of the onions I used to neck the vinegar . . . . Just the smell of it makes me feel sick now!

plagiocephaly

Hey ladies Just a bit of reassurance, one of my twinnies had a very flat head but at a year old it has sorted itself out. I too thought it was to do with the fact that I had two and less time to hold them etc but that's just twin mummy guilt! x

GESTONE QUESTIONS

Hi there I used to do mine at 7pm. Like Bouncytigger I used to warm it up in my bra. I did my own injections in my bum as there is no way I would trust DH with a needle! There is a great video of Kar1 injecting her own backside have you seen it? I watched that and did the same. I did have a few bruises and dead legs but to be honest it wasn't that bad. Good luck x

New to weaning/giving up boob - help

Hi there Daisybells Really pleased to see you are looking in to the baby led weaning approach, I did this with my boys and it has been really successful. With baby led weaning it's really difficult to know how much food your baby actually eats and in the early days I will be honest and say that they hardly eat anything and they definatley don't eat as much as spoonfed babies. Because of this breastfeeding alongside baby led weaning is reccomended, the reason being that the baby can take as much ...

IUI Chances ?

Hey Potty Hello and welcome to FZ! I can totally understand where you are coming from and can empathise with the yearning for a baby. Although I was 32 when I was undergoing treatment I have recently found out my AMH was 1.49 and so doubt it was that much higher last year and although your AMH is considered low I know of a few ladies who have had susess with levels a lot lower than yours. I didn't have my AMH tested prior to treatment but my FSH was 12.8 and so on the high side but as you will s...

Bump has changed shape?!

LOL, I hope they are listening to your instructions Yes, I was really sad to have a planned C section, would have loved to have had a go at going natural but Twin 1 was a footling breech and twin 2 was transverse across Twin 1's head . . . . .being that difficult I could have guessed they were boys! Not long to go know then, has your cons advised induction at 38 weeks then?

Bump has changed shape?!

Wow what clever little twinnies you have there. I found that my bump never dropped as both mine were in silly positions but both my friends bumps dropped and good month and a bit before their twins arrived and so I'd say there could well be a bit of movement in there. Are you looking to go for a ND? x

My Twin Breastfeeding Experience

Hey Roxy My DH was home with me for the first 12 weeks and I definatley think this is how I managed to successfully breastfeed. As for nappys, my two went after every feed and so did need changing but by 6 weeks I only did it if necessary, Getting them ont o the pillow to feed was a rather ungaceful manner, I used to scoop them up and whack them on . . . . . poor things!

My Twin Breastfeeding Experience

Newlywed, fantastic news to hear the girls are getting on well and you are managing to express and feed. It must feel wonderful for you to hold them close and feed them, some real Mummy bonding time. A huge well done to you, it must be incredibly hard for you at the moment but I think you are doing a marvellous job! x
