measuring small for dates /small bump-ANOTHER UPDATE !!!

Hey guys Csam - dont worry about what people are tellign you everyone has a different opinion on how 'big' you should look, I had a scan every week from 20 weeks as I was measuring the correct size but only for 1 baby not twins! The twins were both fine and althoug delivered at 36 weeks they were 4lb 7 and 4lb 5, every person that seen me told me I was tiny for twins and I was 12st 3 at 9 weeks pg, I dont know exactly my weight before I delivered but I was 12st12 post delivery so whatever I put ...

PRAMS FOR TWINS

I'm the same, around old shops they're not so good and a pain getting in and out the car but for walks they are FAB!!! My 2 still dont sit well in the umbrella buggies - we have a mclaren Red one but still nedd padded out with blankets as they slide down to the bottom and get really uncomfy but sits fabulously in the city twin. If I'm going out for a while I def take it.

Interupting sleep to feed at night?

Hi Rosie My 2 are now 5 months and we used to wake them at 10pm for a feed and leave them after that to go however long, the eventually stretched the time out themselves to 6 am, after a couple of months we started bringing the 10pm feed forward by 15 mins and now at 7pm to 7am sleeping. Waking them up was hard though and they didnt always feed as they were so tired.

My two have different amounts, Cameron only has 4oz bottles but he has high energy feed with extra calories added in due to his cleft he doesnt take big volumes, when they went 10pm to 6 Leigha was having 5 x 5oz bottles she now has 4x 8oz botttles. I think you should take the lead from them really

CLEXANE QUESTIONS

Hi I'm same as Londonchic, used it for clots after OHSS. Wasnt a problem til the delivery, went into labour early - wasnt allowed to deliver normally due to risk of bleeding so had to have a GA as cant have spinal or epidural on clexane. It needs to be reduced prior to having those and as I was early there was no time to reduce the drugs so it was a knock out for me!

sleeping through

Well - my 2 blow that theory out the water!! They slept through from 10pm to 6am from 5 weeks old, they were born at 36 weeks 4lb7 and 4lb 5, I let them demand their own feeding pattern and refused to wake them for a feed. Neonatal unit wanted them woken every 3 hours, my SIL also had twins at 36 weeks and she woke them for feeds every 3 hours well into 4 months - they are now 3 and still dont sleep through the night. She thinks its because she woke them, my 2 now sleep from 7pm til 7am could pl...

how to break the news to your boss?

Hi I work in a female environment but on my feet 12 and a half hours, heavy work load! I told my boss the week before and as I had to store my injections safely they had to be placed in the locked drug cupboard which meant people were going to find out anyway. I couldnt be a***d with explaining it all the time so I put out a note to everyone which gave them the basics and also said if I am a crabbit cow - you know why - dont talk to me!!! Meant everyone left me alone but also meant they were all...

Sterilising?

Hey Rosie - posted this on other section too!! I was really lazy and bought a mini fridge for the night feeds!! I also had a little bottle warmer that I used upstairs as ANY time I could save on night feeds was a huge bonus!! I made the feeds up like yourself and as far as I was concerned they were sterile for 24 hours. Its a bit of a pain loading up the steriliser and getting all the bottles done at the one time and I didnt come up with an easier way - I tried doing it in two halfs where I'd ma...

Did anyone have a Wee Thumbie dummy?????

HHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPP!!! Cameron was given a "Wee Thumbie" dummy in the neonatal unit to help his suck reflex. He now refuses to take any other kind of dummy - I have had every size, shape, style, you name it I have it in this house!! I cant get him to take anything he just gags and cries, the only thin that will settle him is the thumbie. This would be ok if it wasnt so tiny - it is designed for babies under 4lb!! Good know how this wee thing settles him but it does, spoke to the cleft ...

D/R, Sniffer vrs Needles.

I had the pen style injections - very easy! Once a day at the same time, only one I had to draw up with syringe was the last drug you take before egg collection, its not that hard to draw up and was still pretty painless. You can inject your thighs or stomach and I tried both - thoghs left big bruises and could be sore but didnt feel a thing on the tummy!!
