Ideas & Tips needed for baby hand and foot prints

We've just been to pottery painting workshop. It was amazing and I wish we'd have gone when he was first born. You can choose from all sorts of differetn things to paint, and we've made bits for christmas presents for family. We've only used H's feet as like others have said, hands are too difficult.

when should baby be sleeping in their own room?

Hi, We put Harry in his own room at 9 weeks as he wasn't settling to sleep in his moses basket. He took to it really well. Apart from a couple of nights when he's been ill, he's been in his cot ever since. I still worry, so even though he's in the room next door, I still have a monitor on all night. Good luck xx

Black Out Curtains / Blinds

Hi BT, We bought one from the Gro Company which can be adjusted to fit different windows. It has sucker pads on it to stick onto the window which means it's portable too. We personally haven't got on with it as it kept getting unsuckered (?!) and fallining down in the middle of the night. H doesn't have any blackout lining at all now. I have actually found that because he's never had blackout lining he sleeps really well in the day too. He doesn't need to have it pitch black in order to sleep wh...

What has infertility done to you?

Hey Glitzy, I'm so sorry that you are feeling like this, sending you a great big hug. Like Pootle, my situation with infertility was different to yours and I have been very lucky as I really only had a very short journey. All I can say is that you are a lovely person from what I've seen (mainly on facebook). I think that you seem to have been through a lot, especially to get your precious DS. It's completely understandable why you don't go out etc. I have found out of all the people in my NCT cl...

Runny poo in 3 month old,but not diarrhoea

Hi, He hadn't done one for 2 days. But he had his 12 week jabs today and did a poo about 2 hours later. It was more like thick paste. But the diarrhoea went on for a couple of weeks. I wasn't too worried coz he didn't do more than 3 in 24 hours. Fingers crossed that he's ok now. Hope that your DD's poo continues to thicken xx

Help and advice for bottle feeding please

Hi, Harry is 9 weeks old but was born 5 weeks early. He seems to be all over the place with his bottles. One day he'll have 4oz (120ml) every 3 - 4hrs, then all of a sudden he'll go to 1.5oz - 2.5oz (45ml - 75ml) every 2 hours. When he was born he weighed 4lb 10oz and last week he was 9lb 6.5oz so I'm not worried at all about his weight or whether he's getting what he needs, coz it seems he is. But I'm finding the 2 hourly feeds at night really take it's toll on me. At what age did your babies g...

Constipation in a 10 week old

Hi Bry, Harry had constipation about a week ago and I added a little sugar to his water (like Flic mentioned above). I was worried too so but he only had it for one day and he drank a total of 120mls. Since then he has been fine and back to pooing every day. XX

THIRD TRIMESTER CHAT - 2010

Just about to get showered. I didn't sleep very well. Tbh I'm really scared about the possibility of having an operation. The biggest medical procedure I've ever had is a blood test, so the thought of a c-section is scaring me. Funily enough I'm not worried about Rusty coming early. But the fact that I may meet my baby boy is being replaced by my fear of the operation. Right gotta go as not much time. XX

THIRD TRIMESTER CHAT - 2010

Hi all, Quick update from me. Went to cons appt and saw Registrar. She said that we have to wait for scan tomorrow. If the results are the same or worse than last week I've got to go straight to the Antenatal Day Unit at the hospital and be monitored on a CTG. She said that they may then decide to admit me for monitoring and that potentially I may need to have Rusty delivered asap. She told me to take my hospital bags with me just in case. She said that they may try to induce me, but as I'm stil...
