Advice re Ovulation Induction / dodgy cycles

Hiya BeeS, how are you and your little one? I have to agree that since the arrival of my little (now not so little!) twincredibles, I too have a regular curse not every month about every 40 days , it was quite a novelty having to go and stock up on ladies products! Only thing is it now hurts like hell and have to buy Feminax, I can now join in with the girls at work and moan about period pains. Not sure if it means I'm ovulating, never checked as my childbearing days are over , good luck with TT...

Ovulation Induction Injectibles - chat thread

Kate I'm so sorry for what's happened, its so devastating and hurts so much. Amy, I hope taking aspirin will help you in your next pregnancy. We too have been in that situation when I had mc'd before we got the twins and all our bloods came back normal. I was put on aspirin 75mg when we started to try again when I started on Clomid (as everything stopped working after the last mc and I had stopped ovulating) and then Clexane as well as aspirin (more daily needles but was willing to try anything)...

EEK! I've just been on the Jeremy vine show! it was suggested that before IVF you have a "moral duty" to consider adoption..... what do you think?

I think you're fantastic for ringing in, I would never have the guts. There are a lot of ignorant people out there and this radio discussion has highlighted this I have emailed my complaint. xx

When did you start to show?

I got away with wearing clothes in a bigger size from about week 10 - week 14, then had to get maternity clothes as ordinary clothes even if they are in a bigger size just don't fit right - for me anyway. x

Yes they are TWINS!!

My GP said something similar to me when I went for my 6 week check, he asked what I'd had and I said 2 girls and his answer was "Oh very good - but a boy and girl would have been better."

Silly Comments

I am so glad I found this thread. our girls do attract a lot of attention, the majority is quite nice, but there are some that think its ok to ask very personal questions. One woman came up to me in town and came out with the standard "are they identical?" (no they're not), "Are they a boy and a girl?" (they are both head to toe in pink!) "Do twins run in your family?" (No they don't) "Oh, right so you had IVF then" (I say no I did'nt, I had ovulation induction with timed so I'm not lying by sa...

A poll for mamas of twinnies!

The results are very interesting to see. I was hoping to be induced and have a NVD at 38 weeks or a planned c-section if twin 2 remained breech. I ended up going for my 32 week scan, getting diagnosed with severe pre-eclampsia and having an emergency c-section.

Starting Maternity Leave

I am nurse on a very busy, short staffed area and finished at 26 weeks as everytime I went to antenatal I was being sent to the maternity ward for BP profiling, and i thought after everything we'd been through to get pregnant and get this far along it was'nt worth me putting myself at risk so took annual leave then started mat leave at 33 weeks which was'nt bad timing as twins were born at 32 plus 5. I think it just depends on how you are in yourself and the type of environment you work in. x

Bleeding with twins!!

I bled at 6 weeks for 4 days then had pinky coloured loss for 2 days, but the twins stayed put and are now 12 weeks old. I was admitted to the gynae ward for the first 2 days and then mithered the early pregnancy clinic for the rest of that week and was told it happens quite often. I know how awful it is to have that worry hanging over you but try not to worry. x

Routine's with twins and general questions! - help please!

I'm so glad I found this thread. My twins were born at 32+5 and we were allowed to take them home after only 13 days in the Neonatal unit. Was feeding them with EBM and formula but found that once i was home from hospital, my milk supply dwindled (possibly due to some medication i'm on) so they're now on formula feeds. They're now just under 8 weeks old and just as I thought I was getting somewhere with a routine, everythings gone t'pot. One twin has started to refuse anymore feed after about 1...
