Yes still having a night feed - anywhere between 12 - 4am.. regardless of when he wakes, he still rewakes for the day about the same time and we still do first feed at 7am.. I am just beginning to reduce the amount of formula in his night feed to see if we can cut it out that way.. Looking forward to seeing you both next week!
I always start at 7am.. and just keep them going if they wake earlier.. little man can be awake and up from any time from 5.30am.. but I just put him on his beanbag in the kitchen whilst I potter and use a dummy if I have to.. One method I used to use was to feed at whatever time they woke, ie 5am, 6am.. etc.. but then do a top up feed at 7am so they started the day on a full tummy and then the timings for the day were always the same.. What did you have for dinner last night if A got green bean...
Sorry just to add, one thing that did seem to make a difference with mine was stretching the feeds to 4 hours.. we went back to 2 hourly feeds at one point and it was a bit mad.. only way I could with two was to use a dummy and it was painful.. but getting to a 7 - 11 -3 - 6.30 feeding schedule seemed to make the difference with little girls sleeping..
Don't know how much help this is, but I have one sleeping 7-7 now and the other still waking for a feed.. I follow a fairly set routine and increased the milk when they started draining their bottles.. now on 6oz and just about to go to 7oz for little boy who is the one who is still waking.. he feeds at 6.30pm, bed at 7pm.. wakes between 1-2am and then sleeps again till we wake him at 7am.. he obviously just isn't ready to do it yet, so we continue with just his night feed. I've done exactly the...
Just popping in briefly here.. I also had OC with my twins.. I didn't get the URSO or Vit K until a day or two before my waters broke at 34+5.. I was monitored for weeks.. but they seemed reluctant to give the URSO, despite Simmo having no problem with it and we were at the same hospital.. I stayed away from Prition only because I could cope with the itching.. mine was worse on my back.. and a good rub seemed to alleviate it briefly.. but would have taken it if it had got unbearable..I can't rem...
i went with the babies until about 7 weeks, then we starting doing feeding every three and a half hours..starting at 7am and ending at 9pm and then just fed as babies wanted in the night, though always woke the second if they weren't already awake.. now on four hours feeding, beginning at 7am, last feed at 7pm and again just go with the babies during the night and length of sleep is slowly stretching out.. tried a dream feed, but didn't work for us.. Re slow feeding, we changed teats to medium f...
Yup right there with you!!
My only advice would be to enjoy them.. the time flies so quickly and I always said to myself no matter how stressful it felt, I wouldn't let it get to me and I'd just concentrate on getting through the next feed / change etc. Once home, we went to demand feeding, but after first baby is fed, changed and settled, we wake the other, so 80% of the time, mine are half an hour apart.. the other 20% when they tag team me, I sit on the floor with quite a few pillows (I'm not bf) and do the best I can....
I was week 20 due to a lot of sickiness!!!
Thanks guys.. I still can't drive and we live in a very rural area, so no way of getting to them, but mw is coming out to see me tomorrow, so I will ask her!
My two haven't been weighed now for nearly three weeks, the last time was two days after we got home from hospital when the HV came out and weighed them. I know they are gaining as they are rapidly growing out of clothes and feel much heavier.. but I was under the impression they should be weighed regularly especially as they were premature and are still not at their due date.. Thanks
Hi all, hope we are well.. I'm not sure how much I'll be around now.. so can someone else take over the hall of due dates please? After weekend in hospital, I am very sore and uncomfortable, but just got to keep baking these two babies for as long as possible..
Great news MSH5983.. hope baby doesn't keep you waiting too long either. Welcome Tiggs.. what's your due date and I'll add you to the list.. I'm still not sleeping, hence being on here at 2am.. I need a fast forward button me thinks now to get to the end of this xxx
Well after three hours of moaning and groaning and generally being in agony, I have given up and resorted to the sofa and internet again.... I am just soooo tired. Will try the pillow behind my back.. I have to keep my legs together because of SPD.. so raising one isn't an option.. I've tried sitting up with mountains of pillows.. but that hasn't worked either.... no matter how much I pad out my lower back, I feel I haven't got enough support in my lumbar region and am in the same pain after abo...
Me again! I am really struggling now with getting comfortable at night and thought I'd pick people's brains as to what worked for them. I have been sleeping on my left hand side with a pillow between my legs (for SPD) and a pillow under the bump for support.. but it's now really quite painful however I sleep.. If I'm on my back, I feel like all my insides are being crushed and if I sleep on either side, the sheer weight of the bump just makes it painful and it feels like it is dangling in mid ai...
Hello.. Some people do continue with the progesterone support for longer, so there may well be a reason for it.. Congrats on your pg..
They have said it is Obstetric Cholestasis, so had more bloods today, so have to wait for the results of those.. but now got at least weekly fetal heart monitoring at the hospital and weekly blood tests.. but obviously all that could change if the levels keep rising... there is meds you can take, but they are unlicensed for use in pregnancy, so Doc didn't want to give me those which is fine by me.. just a bit concerned about how much the levels will rise and at what point do they become a major ...

Thanks PP.. there is part of the blood test that they have had to send away which I'm sure is the bile salts bit. My levels were 120 last week and have now risen to 162.. So I'll wait and see what today brings.. thanks for the link to the website as well..
Thanks Ellie.. I'd got to that conclusion as well.. silly thing is, is that the itching isn't as bad as it first was.. but the levels have still gone up.
