Glasgow Royal Infirmary - Treatment feedback and chat **NO PREGNANCY CHAT PLEASE**

Well things haven't went as smoothly for me as my 1st cycle. Was a bit gutted but after talking it through with Dr Vannie (or something like that?) I'm feeling much better now. Had a scan on Wed which showed fluid in my uterus and was warned that if it was still there on Friday they wouldn't go ahead with ET. So yesterday I got 13 lovely wee eggies, but the fluid had got worst and the consultant said that he had no doubt that if he put any embryos back it wouldn't have a successful outcome. I ph...

Hi JBI. Hope you are feeling ok after the prostap? I also wish there were more guarantees with this treatment, but life just isn't that simple is it? I'm just glad that I have some hope as without ICSI I wouldn't have any. Fingers crossed for you this cycle honey xxx Hey Hope2011. Are you starting treatment soon to? I has my 1st menopur injection given to me at my appointment this morning. So I've to double dose on that for 2 days, and then I'm on to menopur in the morning, cetrotide at night. T...

everyone So I have finally decided to start ICSI again. Due to collect my metformin next Wed, start it Sun 6th and booked in for my baseline scan 16th Nov. Was putting it in my diary and realised my dates are almost the exact same as my 1st go this time last year. Can't believe it's been a year already, but needed time away from it and I think it's done me good. Anyone else having treatment around this time? It's sooooo quite on here right now!! So glad everything has finally been sorted out in...

Tests all came back negative, thankfully. So now I feel like I can go ahead with another treatment with a bit more positivity. So maybe my losses are just down to bad luck like they all keep saying? I don't know but I do feel a bit better about trying again, which is good. They said they would like me to use up my last 2 NHS goes (fingers crossed I don't need them both) by around March/April next year. So now just to decide when to start again? Hope you've recovered well from last Tues Shelly an...

Hi everyone Christine - Sorry your having such a crappy time at work still. I'd get as much advise as I could from the union if I were you. Surely this women should not be telling everyone about it? I think that just makes her look really bad. I hope it's all sorted out soon. Lightening - The waiting is the worst part about this experience. You just always seem to be waiting, whether it be for it all to start or to see if it works or whatever. I remember being put on the list pretty much straigh...

Hi Lissy! Thanks for your lovely message. I had bloods for genetics and immunology taken to see if there is any reason for my losses. I don't expect them to show anything up but I think it might put my mind at rest a bit. And if they do, then at least I will know. I think I may have met Dr Lyall once before a few years ago when I first went on the ICSI list but I'm not quite sure. Everyone seems to think she is lovely though so that's good, it always makes things much easier when the Dr is nice....

Hi everyone I am so sorry I have neglected you all recently. I just haven't been in the right frame of mind to post anything but I have been logging in sometimes to see what you're all up to. I thought I was coping really well but I think the events of last christmas hit me like a ton of bricks recently and I've not been coping well at all. I've been very teary and over emotional but I'm starting to feel a bit better now. Sorry for the depressing post ladies. My DF also said he didn't want to ha...

It's all go in here as usual girls, not had much time to get on here recently and it's getting really hard to keep up. It's getting so busy, but hopefully that means lots more BFP's for team GRI this year :-) Liz - Good luck for your Prostap tomorrow. I know I have only had 1 ICSI but I am sure that each cycle is different and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this one brings you happy news all the way through :-) L-A - Congrats on being PUPO. That's 2 great graded embies. Hope the 2ww is ...
