chicken pox in 5 1/2 year old - advice please

Hi. My 5 1/2 year old is one of many children in his school to get chicken pox. I was prepared for it and when it appeared on Thursday I thought "ouch!! we're in for a hellish week or so". My eldest had chicken pox when he was 2 and it was a nightmare for two weeks !!!!! However 5 1/2 year old stopped itching yesterday morning....the few blisters he had have healed over...... and he has no new spots! It was definitely chicken pox as I remember it from when my eldest had it and it was just the sa...

Feeling really down and desparate

I understand totally what ure saying hun. We got pg naturally and then it took us 5 years before we could deal with secondary infertility due to mfi and save for our go at icsi....which worked !!! we now have an almost 5 year old as well.... those times after being diagnosed with severe mfi were by far the worst in my life. I had no support - wish i had known about FZ then !!! - and we struggled for a good few years. But it worked. And u gotta find a little faith that it could for u too.... Ure ...

do you always have to 'stop' your natural cycle???

Hi yes it sounds like she was on a short protocol (which i had in 03 and resulted in my 4 year old) where u stimm in line with your natural cycle (my cycle was then every 28 days). In 08 I had a long protocol as my cycle was then very irregular. If ure cycle is regular and ure clinic is happy for a short protocol I think that's great. There are never any guarantees either way but I'm sending u oodles of xxxx

follow-up after stillbirth

Hi celtchicky. I agree with the girls = the fact that u've already achieved a pregnancy should increase your chances to get pregnant again. As to whether u go for one or two, don't put too much pressure on yourself to make a decision now, u may change ure mind many times before u have to decide. I wish you all the luck in the world hun. No one should have to suffer ure pain. May this cycle bring u true happiness

will food poisoning/tummy bug ruin my chances

Hi Linds - when i did my first icsi in 2003 i had severe food poisoning 3 days before my blood test - i was that ill i was convinced it hadnt work but it did. The body is very resilient and just like in early pregnancies the embie/foetus takes what it needs. xxx

Ist Ivf after natural first pregnancy

Louis2 We conceived our first son who is now 10 naturally on the pill !!! We tried to conceive our second child for 5 years when we told my husband had poor motility, morbidity and mobility - so bad we needed ICSI which worked first time and we now have a 4 year old son as well. It was a total total shock to us that we could conceive without trying the first time around with the pill running through my system and yet had to undergo loads of tests and spend years of not having the money and havi...

secondary infertility

We conceived naturally on the pill with our first child! and with the same partner (husband) we had to go through ICSI 5 years later for our second child. I was ok but he was found to have poor motility, mobility and morbidity, so low and poor that ICSI was the only option. But ICSI worked for us and we now have two sons. secondary infertility can be overcome hun so try to keep that in mind x

Do you leave your baby outside to sleep?

I did the same with both my boys - why disrupt them after a nice walk when they are all snuggled and snoozing away lovely ? As long as you stay by their side or within good ear / eye range I think it's totally fine. My mum always told me babies love fresh air and it helps them sleep. xxxx

P.I.D. following IVF "procedures"

i had icsi last may and immediately returning home from ec i suffered excruciating pain in my pelvic region. I was on high antibiobics which caused me to pass out so the clinic told lme to stop them. They didn't offer a substitute for me. The pain started within 1/2 of stopping the last dose of ab's. Since then i have had severe pelvic pain just before or during af. Could this be pid and if so how do i go about getting treatment? is there anything natural i could try? thx
