Anyone else paranoid about a laboratory mix up??!!

I know it's totally irrational but I've had the same fears about a clinic mix up. My 1st daughter looked nothing like myself or my partner as a baby and I'd often think about it. She still doesn't really but she is my daughter, my baby that grew in me, I gave birth to and have nurtured and loved for 11 years. Genetics after a while would become irrelevant. When Lily arrived they said she had a Mongolian blue spot on her bum and my paranoia went into overdrive as I thought they only occurred in A...

Hello to all mums and bubs. Taxi and CH hope the poorly babies are on the mend. AG funny about the rolling balls, they are easily entertained sometimes aren't they? Lily gets totally absorbed staring at lights, her face is like 'wow that's amazing'! NH don't ever work for the Australian tourist board, you've put me right off! Boo, bummer about your job, do some research and put forward as strong a case as you can, good luck. Well I've started a bedtime routine for Lily pad which in theory is thi...

Daily Routines, The Witching Hour and Sleep.

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies about sleeping, am trying to go with the flow. We managed a 3 and half hour stretch of sleep last night, wahey! Took an hour and a half to feed, change and settle but still. To all of you weaning and experiencing late witching hours I remember there were certain foods that would get Maisy up screaming in the night, cauliflower was one. Thing is it took a while to make the association, may be worth keeping a food diary? XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

OK so I know I keep going on about it but Lily pad is four weeks old now, should she really still be waking up every two hours at night to feed?!!! XXXXXXXXXXX

Hi everyone, I feel a bit out of my depth trying to catch up with all you ladies but it makes very interesting reading. I'd never heard of baby led weaning before, is it a new thing? I just followed my Annabel Karmel book with Maisy (all those years ago!) and was planning on doing the same but the baby led stuff does sound interesting, babies got weaned before we had blenders! Also Maisy hated finger food after having the purees and became an incredibly fussy eater, she still is really so maybe ...

I want to watch War horse but I cried at the trailer so not sure it's a good idea! I am so so tired, Lily seems to be waking more in the night now, sometimes not even an hour between settling back down. She is becoming a nice chunky girl though, going to try to get her weighed this afternoon. XXXXXXXXXXX

Taxi I had those thoughts with Maisy when she was a baby, seriously the exact same scenario walking down the hill, slipping, letting go off the pram and it flying into the road. Also many others, dog attacks would feature strongly, cars swerving on to the pavement . Thought it was just my uber anxiety at the time but maybe is just normal mum worry. Not so bad with Lily but I haven't been out and about much yet. Glad you are feeling better xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Daily Routines, The Witching Hour and Sleep.

Hey to all the mummys, Blessed, my memories of older daughter, Maisy, being a newborn are very hazy, think I probably have blocked it out! I know she breast fed constantly some nights but dont know when she got into any routine or when I started to feel human again. She didn't sleep though until 16 months (that is etched into my memory!) Lily pad is such a sweetie, I love her awake time but she often sleeps most of the day and just wakes for milk, she feeds more at night, sleeping between 1-3 ho...

Hi everyone, my little Lily pad is now 2 weeks and 2 days old and I am wondering when I will ever sleep again?! Am so shattered. Everyday and night is different, she has slept most of today so am expecting the worse for tonight! I celebrated new year with her clamped to my boob, the fireworks made a change to the usual night time sounds! XXXXXXXXXXX

Have posted in birth announcements but wanted to update here to. My beautiful daughter was born on Friday weighing5 lb 2 oz, so tiny and perfect. We are still in hospital but should be home tomorrow. She is a natural breastfeeder but I've had to top up with bottles as she's so little. My milk had come in now so hopefully it will be enough. We are all totally besotted with her xx

No frosties - what does this mean ?

I was told when they take them to blast stage they often dont get to freeze any but am not sure why. As the others have said it has no bearing on the one they transferred. I had 10 eggs fertilize, 3 blasts put back (due to my age) and none suitable for freezing. If this is stressing you out then ring the clinic and ask to talk to the embryologist who can explain the technical stuff. Good luck, hoping your little blast is snuggling in nicely. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hoping, our babys may share a birthday! Shame you missed out on the 13th but I think 16th Dec has a nice ring to it. My DD's DOB is 20/10/00 which I think is pretty cool. I think the best one this year would have been 11/11/11. Have got all my cleaning up to date, will spend today cooking, changing beds, ironing, wrapping last few presents and generally skiting around. My sister is coming this afternoon to stay for a few days so that will be nice. They told me I could have op any time between 9 ...

Hi all Aly nice to hear from you, sorry things not going so well. Under a week to go now, hope you can rest up until then. Racheal, all the info on pelvic pain says physio is the way to go so keeping you waiting is not good, put some pressure on Dr on monday. Hoping you are sounding amazingly organised and together as always, could be anytime now. Hi Bic and everyone else. I had my pre op assessment today, was at hospital for four hours seeing HCA, midwife, Dr and anaesthetist, am shattered now!...
