What stage is everyone at now? And how's it going? Miss the chats on here x

Hi fifs, we are going private for ICSI. Don't think it's a waiting list as such just that was the next available pre treatment consultation appointment that they had. Still raging that it's taking so long to get started on this cycle when I'm paying for it. I would say it wouldn't make a difference if it's ivf or ICSI if your going privately x

Hey Dusky, It's going to be longer than I thought as i phoned the other day to get an appointment and the first they had was 6th Sept! I'm raging that despite the fact that I'm going private I still have to wait 6 weeks for an appointment! It'll probably be mid to end of Sept before I get started on sprays etc and maybe mid October before ec. It's good thst you've got your schedule for your FET. Keep us updated with how you get on xxx

Is anyone starting downreging in the next week or 2?

Congratulations bbird! That's amazing news! Good luck and for all you ladies who are going through it all at the minute. I'm annoyed today, phoned this morning to get the ball rolling for private treatment and can't get an appointment for 6 weeks! I thought that with going private the waiting would all be over! And I know that 6 weeks is nothing compared to the wait for bus treatment but I had myself all geared up to get started on my nect cycle and now I just have keep waiting! It's all just so...

FET help me not have a mental breakdown!!!

I've never used digital ovulation tests but I've read that you are supposed to do them first thing with fmu as opposed to the non digital ones that are best used later on in the day. Good luck x

Sorry to hear about your bfn Lilly16, it's really tough. It's great that you have some frozen embryos though. Fingers crossed it works out for you next time. Just a wee update on me ladies. I had my review appointment this afternoon. Just discussed the previous cycle, I didn't respond as well as they'd thought i was going to but they are going to change it up a bit next time and have me on the spray (though he said just because it would be cheaper for us) and they'd give me a standard dose rathe...

Is anyone starting downreging in the next week or 2?

I'm doing good. All ready to head on my holidays on Saturday. Then when I get back im going to get a private review appointment to get things moving for august/Sept time. Good luck to all you ladies, starting or getting started soon. It's exciting. Don't worry too much about the injections, they aren't as bad as you imagine and once you get started it's does just become normal. Also try not to stress about everything (food, exercise etc) as babydream says I think it just depends on the embryo bu...

Cetrotide has to be in the tummy but I was told either leg or tummy for menopur. I always did it in the tummy so I wouldn't get confused and do the cetrotide in the wrong place x

It doesn't leak out. I thought that too when I couldn't get the lid back on but i took it out with me a couple of times in a wee holder thing the nurse gave me and it never leaked at all and it was in my handbag. It's designed to only come out if you use the needle c

Review after failed nhs cycle

Ok. Thanks so much for replying, Martha. We are heading on holiday in a couple of weeks so I'm going to ring when we get back to make an appointment for August to get us started sooner. By that time I should have had 2 cycles, although this cycle has been very strange. I had my period after my bfn and it stopped as normal after around 5/6 days but then I started spotting around CD 9/10 right up to today when my period started very early only CD 18. I'm assuming that's just because of all the dru...

Review after failed nhs cycle

Thanks Martha. Did you see Dr abadage in the rfc at the royal? I phoned the rfc today to see about booking a private appointment with my consultant prof McClure and was given another number to ring and they said it would be somewhere in Hollywood we'd go to for the appointment. Just wondering if that's normal. I assumed that I'd just book a private appointment at the rfc as that's where I want to do my private cycle.

Review after failed nhs cycle

On the review appointment are you able to start treatment if going privately or would I need to get another appointment before I could actually get started? Obviously I know it'll depend on where I am in my cycle etc but just want to know if I can get a schedule etc at that same app or if I need to book another one x

Yeah as babydream says if it's menopur then it only needs to be kept in the fridge until it's made up. (I found that weird as the powder needs kept in the fridge but the liquid doesn't!) Then you keep it out of the fridge for 28 days. Not sure about other meds though. Check what it says in the info sheet. The injections aren't as bad as you imagine, not thst they are pleasant but you do get used to them and the first one is the worst. Good luck ladies! Fingers crossed for positive outcomes for y...

Review after failed nhs cycle

That's great, Martha. Thanks for replying. I get think I might go ahead with that and try to book an appointment for sometime in August after my holiday. Was Dr Abadege your consultant or did you just go with who ever was available? X

Review after failed nhs cycle

How long after your failed nhs cycle did you get your review appointment? I got a letter today saying the wait time is 12-14 weeks or could be longer. Would this be from now or from when my cycle ended? Also did any one get a private review appointment rather than waiting on the nhs one? If so, how long did that take and how much did it cost? X I want to be trying again around September time but could be longeevthsb that if I wait on the nhs appointment.
