November cycle buddies

I’m getting paranoid that I’ll have to wait, I had my PTC on Oct 29th and my meds are all in the fridge. Because I was passed my day 21 I didn’t get my timetable, I had to ring in on day 1. This was last week on Thursday and I still don’t have it, they said if I hadn’t got it to ring back next week. I’m due to start Nov 28th, if I get told i have to wait another month I just don’t know what I’ll be like!!!

Hey Lola, I only had my PTC last week and the nurse told me to make sure I had a decent breakfast before 6am as we would be in a while. She said we would be hooked up to pain relief and to just day if it was too sore. She said I would feel a sharp pain as the needle went through the wall to the ovary and then each time it went into a follicle. She says it shouldn’t be too painful.

Anyone starting in September?

You'll have to ring the number they give you to accept the treatment, usually a Wednesday and Thursday only. Then you'll get another letter where you'll have 2 apts, one is just a blood sample apt for you and your husband, it's only a short one. The 2nd apt is you PTC where they give you all your drugs and explain to you how to use them, it'll be a couple of hours. You start the drugs on day 21 of your cycle so you work from that. I only had my PTC yesterday and my day 21 won't be until the end ...

Anyone starting in September?

Hey babycandy, I went on ICSI Dec 7th and got to the top of the list Sept 8th. So if it’s still the same wait it’ll prob be only a couple more weeks for you.

Just seems weird too cause I have so long to wait for all to start, not until end of November, but lovely big bag of blue drugs makes it all seem very real.

They send you over to the pharmacy to get the blue bag of drugs, when you come back she goes through the bag to show you everything and my injections were all benfola 225, she said straight away that your meant to be on 450. She said the pharmacy won’t take back something they’ve given out, she left to ring them, came back and my husband was sent back to switch it over. It meant he missed all of the drug demonstration and side effects, but better that than not knowing I had the wrong stuff, I wo...

Had my PTC today, was given all my drugs and told to ring to get my schedule when my next period comes. They nearly give me the wrong dose of injections so was a bit of a job changing that over. Lots of information to let sink in.

RFC - IVF

No, Husband and myself went to gp in January 2017 after the year of trying, we both had the usual tests in our local hospital in craigavon, that took us a few months as they repeated my husbands a few times, then we were referred to RFC, that took us to our first apt on August 31st 2017.

RFC - IVF

I’m ICSI but my dates were first apt August 31st, 2nd apt Dec 7th. Top of the list letter was Sept 8th, bloods apt Sept 15th and PTC 29th. But I know the ICSI list is longer than IVF one. When you get your first apt you can then book your 2nd apt to sign on the list quicker if you pay for a private apt, I wish I’d done that as it would have saved prob around 4/6 weeks.

I think they’ll let you start then, I don’t think they’ll make you wait. To make sure you could ring and check to put your mind at rest.

Hey baby cakes, I have my bloods tomorrow and PTC on the 29th, but I miss my day 21 by 3 day’s then so have to wait until the next cycle on Nov 23rd, hoping it all goes as planned, wish I could have gotten in earlier this month, I haven’t tried anything apart from reflexology which I think is great for helping us relax if nothing else.
