Glasgow Royal Infirmary - Treatment feedback and chat **NO PREGNANCY CHAT PLEASE**

Hope2011 I really really hope that your dreams come true one day. What you have both been through is truly heartbreaking - I have been reading your blog. As you say everything happens for a reason but even though I do not know you personally I can tell you will both make fantastic parents. Take the time like you say to enjoy one another and when the time is right you can fight on. It breaks my heart that lovely people struggle to have a family when there are so many wasters around that have kids...

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - Treatment feedback and chat **NO PREGNANCY CHAT PLEASE**

Hi JBI I personally know of 2 ladies who had FET at GRI. One has a boy now aged 5 and the other has a little girl who has just turned 1. TBH because my first attempt failed I was convinced this one had too. I just couldn't wait to start a fresh cycle again and sailed through the 2ww. On the day of outcome though I burst into tears when they took my blood for testing. I couldn't believe my ears when I got the call to say we were finally pregnant!! We still have 3 frosties in waiting and hope to t...

Do I really want to try again....

Hi Our precious son who was born after FET will be 3 in March. We have 3 frosties which are kept in storage for us until Feb 2013. My head is all over the place regarding our wee frosties. We are so grateful for them and we don't want to not use them but I've been thinking a lot by myself recently...... I feel that I am only really wanting to try again so DS will have a sibling. I feel I want to give him all my love and attention and don't want him to have to share me - would I even love a 2nd t...

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - Treatment feedback and chat **NO PREGNANCY CHAT PLEASE**

Hi Lightning Yes once you have your dates it gets really exciting Honestly as soon as your injections start it goes soooo quickly - apart from the 2ww of course My story is - we tried for 7 years before being told my tubes were badly blocked and that ivf would be our only option. On our 1st fresh cycle we had 13 eggies collected and 9 fertilised. We had 2 put back leaving 7 frosties which we were so grateful to get. Unfortunately the fresh cycle ended in a BFN. 2 months later we had some frostie...

Monklands Hospital

Hi Emma and welcome to FZ When I first went to Monklands Hospital they arranged a laparoscopy to be done and this showed my tubes to be badly blocked. We were then placed on the ivf waiting list for GRI and it took around 26 months. Our first and only course of ivf we got 13 eggies and 9 fertilised. 2 of these were put back but sadly did not work. However of the other ones which were frozen 2 were thawed and put back and this resulted in our little prince who will be 3 in March It all depends wh...

Work Life Balance!

Hi Danielle It must be tought having 2 little ones when you also work. I work full time 5 days a week my son his 2 and I have days where I feel really guilty and stressed. The way I see it is this - everthing you're doing you're doing for them nice clothes holidays etc. As long as you spend quality time at the weekends. My mum was and still is a psychiatric nurse and always worked full time when I was liitle. It has never made a difference to me as I remember all the fun things we did back then....

FET success a second time??

Hi everyone I've not been on here for ages - feel bad about that We went through ivf treatment in 2008 after 7 years ttc. 13 eggies were collected and 9 fertilised. We had 2 put back as a fresh transfer but it didn't work. Out of the 7 frosties 4 were thawed and 2 put back this resulted in our gorgeous son who was born in March 2009 We have the remaining 3 embryos in storage which are held for us until 2013. We are now at the point of wanting to go through the madness again We go on holiday in A...
