Pregnancy Bras

Hi Thanks for all of the feedback I do love a bargain but think i must have been watching too much Mary Portas ,this lingerie shop is like an oasis in our town centre (most of the shops are complete cr@p!), the owner spent quite a while trying loads of different bras on me and explaining what was a good fit. I don't want to spend £33 on every bra though! we've got a bravissimo nearby so i will check that out over xmas and hope for a sale! Or find the same style and size as this hot milk one onli...

Prams - Help!

It's a minefield!! We had the icandy cherry/maxi cosi with base for DS, it fit the bill pretty much esp forward/rear facing seat unit which we wanted. I'm hoping to get a bugaboo bee this time (prob 2nd hand) as it does a lot of what I want plus the pushchair folds in one rather than 2 pieces. Although it doesn't have a proper carry cot which is nice for newborn. It's compatible with maxi cosi too. I also looked at icandy strawberry and babystyle oyster. HTH

CRM Coventry

Hi Kylie I remember you from IUI chat. I had 3 IUI's there all negative, now pg naturally (male factor) I have 2 friends with babies/children born from IVF at CRM Cov, one had twins on her first attempt (before the 1 embryo rule) and the other had a DD on first 'full' cycle, a failed cycle and then twins on next try which was last year. Both ladies were +35yrs. Are you unhappy about anything with tx there? Wishing you lots of success xxx

Pregnancy Bras

Thanks everyone I went and got measured etc at a local lingerie shop (lots of lovely stuff in there!) and came away with a hot milk bra - it doesn't feel as supportive as a normal underwired bra but apparently my wires were digging in. gone up 2 back sizes! I need to buy 1-2 more but at £33 each it won't be from there (or am i just a tightwad?!) i know this bra won't fit for nursing so it seems a lot of money when really just need a well fitting non-wired bra. afterwards i will get some for BF, ...

Pregnancy Bras

Hi I'm 23 weeks now and wearing +1 cup size - underwired. I'm pretty sure that the wires are in the right place so to speak! think i might go and get double checked anyhow. what does anyone think about sleep bras? is it important to be getting support during the night or is it a personal choice for comfort (i don't usually wear a bra to bed!) thanks

Using OPK as HPT

Hi Ladies In a bit of a tizz here........ Typically i am not a serial tester - we are 3years ttc so am passed that phase in my journey and just can't justify the expense and disappointment! But........i virtually always get a lot of spotting 2-3 days before AF in a 27-29 day cycle and i've had only the tiniest bit on one occasion a few days ago - am now CD29 and approx 13 dpo (haven't been monitoring recently, we start IVF soon and trying not to think about it all!) I have been feeling exactly l...

employer took 9 weeks to arrange a meeting upon my sending my 'return to work' letter

Hi Gemma I'm not a HR expert but had some problems going back to work after my LO (FWIW me and my boss fell out in a big way but everything's ok now ) So your meeting is in the next week or two? i don't think that they have legally done anything wrong in not getting things organised properly but its not very reassuring for you is it? they do have a duty of care to keep in touch with you in some way during any absence from work. I would go to it with an open mind, i wouldn't talk about legalities...

Morphology advice - bit stressed by telephone from clinic

My clinic don't consider morphology to be a big issue in Isolation. if the count and motility is good they would do ivf with that morph, I think. Assuming you are self funding and the price has some bearing on the decision (?) I have heard of treatment with half Ivf and half icsi when the morph is in question Agree its poor of them to leave it so late and handle the call this way

mf sons will also be infertile

Hi Miriam Firstly, sorry to hear that you're going through this, it is hard to take at first but you do learn to adjust. Has your DH had a subsequent test as initial results should always be repeated at least 3 months apart? have you been given advice about lifestyle changes? if you have the full SA report i recommend you post on 'sperm scientist's thread. the count was very good if it was 30mill/ml? which is a great start. I'm not sure about the theory of passing on infertility to children, you...

Hi, not long since we found out we would need extra help

Hi we are ttc #2 (3 years) with male factor and also have a DS who will be 4 next month. we found out about DP's morphology issue when we were ttc the first time.......he had 0% normal forms on the first SA but we still managed to conceive DS naturally! we have had 6 months of clomid and 3 IUI's (as my clinic don't worry about morphology when count and motility are ok) but unfortunately they didn't get us a BFP, we have IVF consultation next month. I don't expect us to conceive naturally now but...

Private IUI...

Hi If there is no waiting list then probably more a case of getting AF to start on the right day of the week. At my clinic they want CD1 to be fri-sun. if your cycles are regular and you think it might fall right then you can just wait for Af and get started straightway or I was offered norethisterone which is used to help Af start on the right day. We were self funded at an nhs clinic Good luck

IVF planning - need to talk about some things

Quoted from "rianon" Lollygirl - sorry for "stealing" your thread. thats quite alright Rianon! Elsie - thanks but we aren't in London and not close enough to consider it. The clinic we are at now is where we've had all of our tests done and the 3 IUI's recently. I think that we will try there as long as the consultation goes well. Its also the only clinic within a reasonable travelling distance. I know a few couples who have had really good success there but i do worry that, from what i've seen...

IVF planning - need to talk about some things

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply, i do appreciate it and you've both made some useful points I realise its not likely but i really don't want end up with several 'unwanted' embryos........and i'm guessing that in theory that could happen if we harvest 12-15 eggs, which is what clinics seem to want to do. I'm also not comfortable at the moment with donation or letting them perish. I know my feelings might change if we have a failed cycle and have no frosties to use. DP accepts h...

IVF planning - need to talk about some things

Hi We have a consultation at end of July to discuss moving onto IVF and i've got some ideas going through my mind which i would value some input about please background: we have a DS nearly 4yo who was naturally conceived after 14 months ttc. we already knew that there was an issue with SA, particularly borderline good swimmers and very poor morphology (although our clinic don't consider morphology to be too critical when other levels are ok). Now we have been ttc again for nearly 3 years withou...

IUI Chat 2011

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Karen, it might be too early yet. I assume that you used an early testing hpt?.even they can give false negatives. I know its hard but try to wait a few more days before testing again. I'll be that AF stays away for us all
