Posting on Facebook

Hi, Firstly huge congratulations to you. I would just like to echo what others have said. This journey is such a personal one we should only do what feels right for us. Unless you have had problems TTC you don't really know what it is like, this is what I tell myself when someone has said something to me that I perceive to be insensitive and it stops me form feeling so cross. I wish you all the best for the future xxxx From Shell

refused ivf because of very low amh

Hi, I have an AMH of 1.2 and was told after my first cycle not to bother with a second, I disagreed and I am now mummy to 2 year old boys. I also did not have periods before being pregnant and now my periods are regular which the doctor says suggests I am ovulating. Best of luck xxx

New Preemie Mum

Hello everyone, I am glad this post has come alive again, being a premmie mum is something that does not get a lot of exposure and I agree you do not realise what it is all about until you are thrust in to that world. I hope my story will give you hope and support, I gave birth to my twin boys at 28+2 by emergency section after going in to spontanious labour. It was unbelievably scary, Oscar 2.2lb was stuck and born blue (not breathing) so was ventilated,Zack 2.9lb was a little better but later ...

Advice on night feeds!!!

Hi Sazzle, Long time no speak but I have just got 5 mins to myself!!! MY 2 are 6 months now but as they were premature are 3 months corrected age and they have been sleeping through for about the last3 weeks. I am not sure how we have done it we have just followed thier lead. They came home from hospital on 3 hourly feeds day and night and I was exclusively breasfeeding but this soon became too much and we gradually introduced bottles after about 6 weeks. A couple of weeks after this they both d...

** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

So they arrived rather early..... I would like to announce the birth of my beautiful boys. I had Oscar 2.2lb and Zack 2.5lb on Monday 17th January. They are very tiny but totally perfect. Things are tough as I have been discharged but my boys are still in the NICU unit at the hospital, they are doing really well, a few problems linked to thier premeturity but I have been assured that they will be fine it will just take a little time and I should be able to come home with me around when my due da...

** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

Hello all, Happy New Year to everyone!!! So for the first time in years I have not got a hangover on new years day!!! But I do feel rubbish, I have got a stinker of a cold and cannot muster any energy. I have been (reluctantly) taking paracetamol as have been running a bit of a temperature and sucking soothers, pharmasist would not let me have strepsils. Was just wondering if anyone had any more advice as I am not sleeping well and am coughing so much I think I must be really annoying my babies!...

I'm freaking out

Hiya, I do not have any experience of your situation but if I were you I would ring your out of hours G.P, NHS direct, IVF clinic or all 3 for advise and if you do not get anywhere go to A and E. I do not mean to panic you but everything will shut after tomorrow so you may be able to get an answer or at least what to do so you feel a little more settled whilst things shut over the holiday. I really hope things work out for you xxxx

SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT - 2010

Hello everyone, Glad everyone seems to be doing well and that all scans recently have been OK. I had a midwife app yesterday and all is fine, urine good and my BP is low as usual. I am measuring for 30 weeks which apparantly is right for 24 weeks pregnant with twins, I cannot imagine how big I am going to be by the end!!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year and just think what we will all be doing next year with our little ones!!! Loads of Love, Shell xxxx

SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT - 2010

I would just like to say to Hayley that i think you are truly inspirational, your posts are heartfelt and you seem so strong within your heartache. I admire you. I think your words re IVF are very wise and we are set up to have a very different pregnancy experience than people, like my friend who get pregnant the first month of trying. She is as excited but also a lot more relaxed about everything. Like I said before every pregnancy is so individual. So on a positive note, I am going to buy the ...

SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT - 2010

Hiya, I think it is fine for you to share your worries, sharing the thoughts we have is what this site is for in my opinion. I also think that everyone is totally entitled to their own concerns and worries and we should never compare ourselves or each other to others as it is not fair, each persons experience is their own. AFM I have days now when I feel totally terrified that something is going to go wrong and other days when I feel brilliant and I am able to really enjoy being pregnant. I do n...

Monitoring of heartbeat

Hiya Shelley, I had a routine appointment with the midwife at 16 weeks when I heard the HB's. I had my booking appointment at 10 weeks then this was the next time she wanted to see me. This was all nothing to do with the IVF clinic but from when I let my G.P know I am pregnant. I then had a consultant appointment on the same day as my 20 week scan. I think everywhere is different though. Take care xxx

ALCOHOL AND SMOKING QUESTIONS

This I think is a really personal decision. I was totally hung up on stopping everything on my first cycle and had given up smoking 2 years before and stopped drinking, caffiene etc before starting the drugs, this however did not work for us. I then went off the rails a bit as was so dissapointed and drank too much and also had the odd cigarette when I was drinking. For our second go I stopped smoking altogether but still had wine during DRing. I did stop drinking completley during stimming but ...
