Hi All, Not been around (again!) but been busy back at work - thankfully I'm only part time 3 days a week. Well, the babies are doing good! Had a week scare on Thursday as started pink bleeding. Got in touch with EPAS and they had me in for a scan - no bleed round either baby so not concerning apparently - HOWEVER!! - what a change in the twins! at 7 weeks they looking like little cute aliens - they now have arms and legs and heads and baby shaped!! They were wriggling around and waving! one mea...
Hi Hope2011, I remember seeing you on the GRI thread previously. This is such a worrying time and spotting is normal during the first tri. Please, please let us know how you get on at the hospital tomorrow. I have every finger and toe crossed for you. xxxxxx
Hi Lauren, I can't remember now how long it took us to get an appt at Monklands as we started our journey back in 2010! We have male factor infertility - OH had a varicocele which was diognosed via an ultrasound and he had this corrected privately on his work health insurance as it didn't take long to get compared with the NHS. We were referred to the GRI as monklands do not do IVF or ICSI - we were referred to the GRI in the Nov, saw a nurse in the Feb and then got our letter to say we were top...
Awww Katie, It really must be worrying, but difficult as it is, please don't worry. At this stage it's so difficult to get measurements and even 1mm can make all the difference if the sonographer is slightly out. I've got everything crossed for you for next week honey. Let us know how you get on. In the meantime just keep celebrating - baby is in the right place and is continuing to grow . Over the last two days the nausea hasn't been so bad during the day it just seems to get worse as the eveni...
Hi All, Just realised there was a bit more activity on here again - yayyy!!! I'm no longer along! Katie - I'm 8 weeks exactly today and due technically 2 October - being twins though I'm sure we'll see them in September. It's still sinking in it's twins even though I keep gazing at the scan picture lol. When's your due date honey? BeeS: LOL @ oxtail soup - I have a whole cupboard full of the stuff and I no longer want it. Just looking at it makes me want to throw up lol. It must be such a good f...
We went for a scan today as was rushed in yesterday with suspected ectopic and low and behold two lovely babies with two lovely heartbeats in the right places! Absolutely over the moon!
Thanks Heather! Not so many people about here at the mo, but I'll keep checking back - it's such an exciting but anxious time!
Hi All, Thought I'd tentatively pop in as I've been floating around the boards for the last week since I got my BFP last Monday so today we're 4+5 so quite nervous. I had mild OHSS and was on Clexane injections for a week. Touch wood, symptoms are virtually away. Our first scan date came through this morning for 18 February - it seems a life time away but I'm sure will come in fairly quickly. Symptom-wise I've been feeling quite ill but only sick once, loving oxtail soup, in and out of the loo c...
Hi Lightening, I'm still here, just! We're kinda in limbo at the moment - cycle one failed and we've decided to wait until the new year for our second and last cycle. I say "decided" - my work hasn't been very supportive about time off for appointments and treatment so feel under pressure to wait. I'm at the point I just want need to get this last cycle going and then we'll know, either way. Reality sometimes is a pain in the butt. How're you doing lightening? x C x
Hi Lightning - it's only sedation at the GRI but it's ok, truly. You feel as if you've had a LOT to drink lolol
How're you feeling? I've been having tummy pains and just feel sore and a bit sicky. Feels good to know we're on our way though, huh?
Well, that's the prostrap injection done today! Feel like a pin cushion, but .... we're finally on our way!!!!
Hi Emma, We're South Lanarkshire, and back in November 2010 the waiting list for Lanarkshire was approx 11 months from referral. We got our letter to confirm top of list just before christmas and we start our journey proper in just two weeks! Just beginning to freak out a little now - we see the nurse on 11 Feb for bloods and AMH then see the consultant (not sure who that is yet?) on the 1 March. I'm beginning to wonder how work will take it when I need time out for scans etc. I have a really ph...
Hi all! Week today is Christmas day! Only just found my Christmas spirit today lol. How's everyone going? Red sole: how did your consultation go honey? JBI: how's the 2ww going apart from the obvious arrrrrgggghhhh-ness? Xx Lightening and fairy dust: really is exciting. Still on cloud nine lol remind me of that come the end of January lol Anyhoo, was just a quick fly by Chrissie xxxx
Well, after moaning my soaks off back in October, we finally received that magic letter from the GRI yesterday about starting our ICSI! We have bloods for HIV, Hep B&C and AMH plus consents on the 11 Feb 2012 and go on to see the consultant on the 01 March 2012 to get our start dates!! I think we're currently both walking on air . This next wait will whizz by as we at least have something concrete to hold onto. Roll on the new year - we already eat healthily and are fit so just plenty of folic a...
Hi girls, Well, as it's really quiet, I thought I'd finally introduce myself. I've been lurking over at this thread since the end of November 2010 and followed many of your journeys. We're based in South Lanarkshire and were originally seen at Monklands for testing etc. Poor OH has male factor and tests for him had to be repeated three times. When we saw the consultant on the 29th November 2010 we were told that the first and last samples were showing they weren't suitable even for IVF but the s...
Suzie - any news honey? Ducks - loving your new signature!!!! The weekend's a coming girls!!
Suzie - ((((((big hug))))) sorry to hear it was a BFN. might be worth waiting a few days and testing again if the doesn't rear her head. It's not over as they say until the fat lady sings!!!!! ( not sure if that's totally PC, but it's still early lol). I'm here if you need a friendly ear sweetie xxxxx Ducks -fab to see you back honey! Remember we're here if you need to sound off whilst you're waiting. No news this end, just got our eyes on last test next Thursday and then D-Day on the 29th ( not...
Good news! The andrologist called yesterday and has arranged for DP to go in next Thursday so no need to cancel the consultant appt, !!!! Relieved and now gearing up. Strangely, it's given me the lift I need. Roll on the end of the month!! Suzie, good luck for the 16th honey. Hope you're keeping busy in the meantime? Chrissie xx
Hi MrsMcC! Glad to see you're about too, I thought this thread may have come to a natural conclusion lol. Fab to hear you're fairly close as well . I'm feeling a bit better about it all today - it helps to talk to others who are going through the same thing. All family and friends are down south so I'm finding it particularly difficult - just really glad I found this forum!! . It's looking like ICSI for us too. I'm presuming that will mean a referral to GRI? Can't find any info on wait times at ...
