Please do not feel that I am labelling my son in anyway but I'm just wondering if anybody else's 3 year olds have funny little ways or things they have to do. My Seb is 3.4 years and is literally obsessed with Pirates, boats ec etc. He has a pirate play mat on his floor in his room and has 3 pirate ships all lined up facing the same way, any pirate figures have to be standing on the ships and if they fall over he gets really upset and has to stand them up! If god forbid the dog moves anyone of t...
Well done Max!!! We are still having the odd accident with Seb usually at home, and we;ve managed going out without a pull up, just gotta work on him overnight now!!!!
Hi you cant claim the childcare element of working tax credits and use childcare vouchers, but you can get Tax credits and the vouchers, For example me and dh do £243 and £240 straight out of our wages, we then get £80 a month tax credits, as a couple we earn too much between us to get the childcare element of tax credits and are better off doing the vouchers!! My friend for example is a single mum and works over 16 hours a week can claim child tax credits and working tax credits as she is a sin...
Aw bless ya Indie, the hard part was baking the cake as I have a rubbish oven that likes to burn things on the outside and not cook it in the middle!!! Decorating it wasn't that hard but as you can see i'm not artistic but if you were then it would be much better, to decorate it I just covered the sponge with an apricot glaze and then used ready rolled icing to cover it with and then cut out shapes for the face. I didn't know how to make the icing a peach colour so I just told the twins he was a...
I made this and found the whole thing very time consuming and traumatic, ha ha!! Spent all day on it and it still looked rubbish, but their little smiles made it worthwhile bless them!!
Could you use a travel cot in your bedroom until your ready for a cot in her own room?? x
Hi when I was pregnant with my 2 I always felt one moving more than the other but thats because Ruby took up all the room so Seb couldn't stretch his legs out properly!! Guess which one is the dominant bossy one nearly 3 years on. Good strong heart beats are what matters xxxx
Hi, I would take more pads as my hospital didn't give them out. I had a c section and went through so many!, the thicker the better, I also took some cartons of juice and some snacks for hubby whilst I was being induced etc as that took a long time and the hospital shops are so expensive. Also take some biscuits etc for yourself as I always found I was hungry in the middle of the night and it's nice to have something with a little cup of tea. Good luck twins are fab!!! Mine are 3 soon!!! It goes...
Hi most of what I earn goes on childcare costs about £1100 a month and dh earns about £35,000 a year and we dont qualify for any help with child care, we just both do the childcare vouchers and they take the sting off it a bit!!!
ah has been moved!!! ha ha!!
Surely parenting chat would be better than down the pub!!!
Hi Addy My Sebastian was always measured as behind Ruby, and when they were born she was 6 pounds 12 and he was 5 pounds 7, also it's really difficult to scan two wriggly babies in a tummy especially when you think how big they are at the moment. Did the sonographer say you should be worried??? I think if they were concerned they would have got the consultant in to chat with you anyway, I would try not to worry at the moment (hard I know) and I bet at the next scan things will have changed, good...
Hi can anyone help, Seb will use the potty or the toilet if I let him runaround awith nothing on, he'll sit on it of his own accord and do both wee's and poo's but the second I put pants on him he wets them, he'll sit on the potty with them still up!!! I've bitten the bullet and put Roo to bed with no nappy on!!! So far she's dry I got some large flat incontinence pads for her bed from work, Just went up at 9pm and sat her on the potty half asleep bless her and she didn't want to go so am going to try again when I go to bed at 11!!! Has anyone else tried the half asleep toileting???
Ah glad you said that cos I thought Ruby is only little still and her nappies are soaked and pooey in the mornings but i've had people saying that I should get her dry in the night!! My thought is she'll do it when she's ready like she did with the daytime!! xx
Yes Ruby has been trained since xmas but she will still have days when she will wet herself 3 or 4 times a day for no apparant reason!!! Can I just ask have you managed to get your lo dry overnigh??? I'm not sure how I go about it plus every morning she has done a massive poo in her nappy so wouldn't really like cleaning that up out a bed!!!! ha ha I get enough of that at work!!!
ha ha flower tot, she sounds just like Ruby i'm always getting told off, the other day she wanted to hang her T shirt in the wardrobe and I forgot and did it myself she then turned to me and said " Mummy I told you I wanted to do that (tutted and shook her haid) stupid"!!!! I swear I have never called her stupid so where do they learn these things!!!!!
