6 week old only feeding once in the night

My DD has now gone three nights in a row sleeping 9pm till 2 ish, me having to wake her for a feed where she took literally 1 minute one night and 5 the others, then sleeping again until 6/7 am. Is this 'normal'? I am so worried she'll dehydrate etc as used to her waking twice in the night for a 10 min feed. She's quite an efficient feeder so never feeds for longer than 10/15 minutes anyway and has plenty of wet nappies but just wondered if at six weeks I should be waking her up for more feeds? She feeds between two and three hourly in the day and cluster feeds from 5pm till 8 most nights. Her weight again has been good, getting her weighed again on Wednesday.

Hi, I would discuss any sudden changes with your HV, although sounds ok to me, she sounds like a really good feeder and if her nappies are wet when she gets up then sounds like a natural progression. Give your HV a call to put your mind at rest xx

She sounds just like my little girl did at her age.. Ella would feed all evening - every 30 - 45 mins from about 5pm then at 9 would go to bed & sleep through till 6ish.
I spoke to my HV as i was a bit worried, but she said i should think my self lucky & enjoy the sleep as it wont be long till she's teething & waking up for cuddles.

Hi there Net, and congratulations on your little girl! : D

I agree with the other ladies, if she's a good weight and feeding happily when she's awake then all sounds fine. She'll let you know when she's hungry. If I remember correctly, my DS was sleeping through from about midnight till 7am by 7 weeks (wish that had lasted a little longer...), and we freaked out the first time, but soon got used to a few hours undisturbed sleep - lovely! Will do no harm to ask your HV for advice if you are still concerned xxx
