Thanks cheenab. Hope things are well with you x

Pip I would definitely cut out her naps altogether even for a while to see how she gets on. R would get sleepy around 3pm too and would fall asleep if we were in the car etc. I just wake him though as soon as we get home. If we're in the house and he's tired I can usually distract him or maybe let him have a bit of quiet time watching tv or something for a while and then he seems to get past the sleepiness and is OK until bedtime. Saying that though it hasn't worked for me tonight! Had him in bed sleeping just after 8pm and then he woke again at 9.45. Only just got him back to bed!!

Hi pip, I'm still just on the spray and hoping it's doing what it's supposed to. I'd thought with having to pay for this cycle I might have had a few more appointments but I've just been left to get on with things. I start the tablets on Saturday so will be glad to have moved on to the next stage. Tracking scan is on 21st and then hopefully ET a week later. Still doesn't really feel like it's happening as apart from a few headaches I haven't had any side effects from the spray. Not that I'm complaining about that lol! I feel like I should be doing more to prepare but can't remember what I did the last time.

How is everyone else? Pip, has the sleeping improved? xx

I bet you’ll be glad once the tablets start. They made me feel really sick with my last cycle but not on the first one for some reason!

Everything is so crossed for you!

My poor big girl is ill and has been off school since Tuesday and it’s her birthday tomorrow. Feel sorry for her as we had a trip to London planned today. Hoping she’ll be better for the big day. Then my birthday Sunday and half term to enjoy. What has everyone got planned? Xx

Hope the visit isn’t too stressful!! I lived with my in laws for some months during building works and wow it was hard!!! Even harder with my own parents though I reckon!

Ashastar I think I drank milk during fresh cycle - but for frozen I honestly just tried to chill out more than anything else. I had two frozen cycles when my lining didn’t thicken and I swear it was due to stress as when I relaxed a bit more I got my bfp. Now it’s orobably just me looking back with rose tinted glasses and all that but you never know, and easier said than done isn’t it. With E I was so distracted by L I didn’t really have time to think about anything to do with tx! I guess just drink lots of water, try and get lots of sleep etc etc. Good luck!!

Off away today in our van for two nights. It’s gonna be -1 at night time - agh we are mad!!! Thank god it’s got central heating but still. Have to get out of the house though as kids driving me a bit crazy as it’s been quite wet. E moved into a proper single bed last night. She looks so tiny but she slept so well in it. She’s such a fidgit I thought a bigger bed might help and it seems to have worked!

Hi heather, I'm doing ok thanks. Just feel really tired all the time but don't know if that's actually anything to do with the medication or not. Work is very busy and stressful and R is keeping me on my toes so finding time to relax is pretty much impossible. It's only 10 days now to my transfer so it's all suddenly starting to feel very real. Starting freaking myself out last night by looking up success rates etc for the clinic and now I have a bit of a negative head on. I don't know why I did it because obviously I know the odds of this process are never in anyone's favour.

How are you? Have your parents gone home yet?

Net, hope you enjoyed your wee break away.

Hope anyone else still reading is good xx

Hey everyone, all good here except R has turned into a nightmare at night! He has started waking during the night and crying until I let him come into bed with us. At first he was only staying 10 minutes and then would go back to his own room but last night I couldn't get him shifted! Then tonight when I tried to put him to bed he screamed the house down. Ended up having to lie with him for an hour in our bed before he went to sleep! Does anyone have any advice? I have obviously started a bad habit by letting him into our bed but I don't know how to break it. I can't just leave him to cry. Help!

I had my scan yesterday and all going ahead for ET on Wednesday! Starting to now worry that my embie won't survive the thaw!!

How is everyone else? xx

Just popping on to see how you are holding up Ashatar. I end up sometimes cuddling mine in bed and then take them back to their bed and then I sit with them until they're asleep in they're own bed. Can be very tiring in the middle of the night but helps them back into sleeping in their own bed without any hassles.

How's everyone else? I'm hoping for a day at home tomorrow if snow is awful with us!!

Hi all

Good luck for Wednesday ashastar!! How exciting. As for the night time I’m afraid I don’t have any practical ideas as my girls have never really asked to get into our bed ( probably because our bedroom is on the floor above theirs so they can’t move between bedrooms easily). I guess whatever you decide try and be consistent. It’s hard in the middle of the night though. Can you let him cry it out a bit? Hard I know.

Not much snow here today - I’m also hoping for a lot of snow so I don’t have to go into London on Wednesday! We had about 5 flakes here today - I am thinking the media may have over hyped it all ( just you wait lll be snowed in tomorrow lol).

Girls are good. E is now in her single bed - she looks soooo tiny in it! We left them for Saturday night and went to the coast - it was so lovely to have a kid free night away. Drank way too much wine but at least no kids waking me the morning after and could sleep my hangover off! My sister in law babysat and the girls had so much fun. Am going to try and get more time away as was so nice just to be a couple and not Mum and Dad justfor a few hours.
Hope everyone is ok? Xxx

Thanks for the good wishes ladies. I've to ring at midday tomorrow to check my wee embie has survived the thaw. It's going to be a long morning!!

I had hoped to be well rested and chilled out but that wasn't to be. R is completely refusing to get into bed at night. He gets into a panic as soon as I start to talk about bedtime and cries etc. If I can persuade him into bed I have to lie with him to get him to sleep. Last night was the worst so far. He eventually fell asleep around 9 but woke crying an hour later so I let him fall asleep in our bed then put him back. He woke again at 12 completely hysterical. I think it might have been a night terror as he didn't seem to have any control or know what was going on and wouldn't even let me comfort him. When he eventually calmed down it was 1am and I felt so sorry for him I just let him sleep with me. I'm absolutely shattered though and just don't know what to do. Up until very recently he always went to bed with no bother at all so I can't understand what has changed. I've got him a nightlight so his room isn't dark. He was always happy to lie in bed and just talk to himself until he fell asleep. Now he seems to panic the second he realises where he is! All this has taken my mind off my ET and I kinda feel like it's not even happening. Just hope the snow stays away and I get to the clinic!

Net, sounds like you had a lovely night away. It's definitely needed from time to time.

Heather, have you had much snow? There's none her yet so really hope it stays that way! xx

Hi heather, little embie is safely on board. It came through the thaw well and continued to develop apparently so now the waiting game begins. I'm driving myself mad already trying to remember if I had cramps or anything at this stage last time as apart from a few cramps yesterday i haven't had anything since. I'm off work for a few days so trying to relax. The snow is quite heavy here which is weird as it never really lies where I live so it's given me a lovely excuse to stay tucked up in bed for a few extra hours! xx

Congratulations on being PUPO! Fantastic news. How are you feeling?

Sorry to hear about R - that must be very difficult. Hopefully it’s just a phase? Can he tell you why he’s feeling so upset or I guess he might be too young for that at the moment. X

School shut here for two days too but no fresh snow today. I think school is open tomorrow though. L will be disappointed! It’s so icy though I am dreading the walk down the hill to school. DH has man flu so I’ll be on school run duty. I had a two hour conference call today. The girls spent the time giving daddy a back massage ( translation: kick daddy in the back) and then proceeded to try and stick their barbie dolls in his ear. Oh dear!

Thanks ladies. Please keep everything crossed for me! Can't help but feeling a bit negative as I've had no cramping worth mentioning and with R I had lots around this stage! xx

Agree with heather - my two were so different. With L at this stage I felt nothing, with E I was feeling sick from one day post transfer. I have everything crossed. When is OTd? X

Hi ladies,

How are we all?
Just realised I haven't wrote in a while!!!
Ashastar hope you are holding up ok? What day are you due to test?
How's everyone else doing?!

I can't believe I will have a 1 year old at the end of the month, This year has flown by!! T has started walking now, he literally has no fear just let's go and goes for it haha!!
Hes also getting in to everything now which F hates as he tries to get his toys!!
F is doing fantastic, he's going to play school 2 mornings a week now, he's getting on really well there. He's just a moody little so and so at home sometimes, he's definitely going to give me grief when he's older haha, hes so stubborn and has such a cheeky personality!! As much as he stresses us out sometimes I wouldn't have him any other way (well maybe a little less naughty :P)
Z is 6 next month 8| I really wish time would slow down!! He's still a complete mummys boy which I absolutely adore, he's been having a bit of trouble off a little boy in the year above him at school calling him names saying that he's a baby, hes really little he definitely takes after me he's only just going in to age 4-5 clothes. This boy has apparently been spoken to so we shall see if it stops!!
Kids are so bliming mean, i got picked on at school about my height so know exactly how it feels, so I'm constantly trying to reassure him that height doesn't matter, Just really hope he doesn't let it continue to bother him :(
The other 2 are going to tower him they definitely have other halfs build ;)

Anyways I'm rambling on, stuck on a night shift!! Roll on 7am :)

Hope you all are well xx

Hi everyone, hope you all had a nice weekend.

Good to hear from you cheenab. Sorry Z is having a hard time. That's so horrible to think that kids can be so mean at such a young age. Makes you wonder what sort of adults they will grow into! I hope Z isn't too upset by it and it stops now the boy has been spoken to. That's brilliant that T is walking. Your pics on FB are gorgeous. F and at are so alike!

As for me, I'm still hanging on. Not feeling too positive though. I'm 5dp6dt today and apart from some cramping for a couple of hours on day 3 I've felt nothing. Neither of my previous transfers were like this. If I hadn't seen the embryo going in i would find it hard to believe it had happened. Other than that I spent most of yesterday throwing up. My DH was quite excited thinking it was morning sickness but I'm pretty sure it was just a stomach bug as my mum and sister had the same thing last week. Feeling really queasy today too but it's definitely too early for it to be pregnancy related so no doubt just a badly timed coincidence! 1 week still to go until test day but I reckon I will cave sooner!

Still having trouble with R at night. He's back to sleeping in his own bed but only if I sit on the floor beside him until he falls asleep. He then wakes at least 3 times during the night and calls for me so I have to go back and sit with him until he goes over again. Its exhausting and I don't know how to break the habit xx

Thanks girls. I've just been to Tesco where I spent some time hovering around the pregnancy tests. Managed to leave without buying any lol.

Pip I'll maybe get a wee sticker chart. That's a good idea. The problem with R is that he gets himself so worked up that he won't listen to anything I'm saying so those sort of bribes don't always work well with him. Definitely worth a try though! He's always settled himself really well at night so I don't know what it's all about. I've recently changed him into a bed from the cot so don't know if he's feeling a bit insecure. Xx

Well done on resisting the poas Ashatar!!

There must be something in the air these days about bedtimes. H hasn't been great for a while now going to bed but for the last few weeks he has begun waking up and getting out of bed 2-3 times a night. Sometimes he'll go straight back over when I bring him back but most times I have to sit on the floor until he's stopped getting up and settles back down again. Pretty exhausting.

Sorry for the tmi but is anyone else suffering from lack of sex drive? It's not bothering me but is causing a few probs for my DH. I personally think it's because I'm knackered and constantly on the go but he wants me to go to the GP to get checked out. We have such a good relationship in every other way but it's now become a bit of an issue which of course doesn't help!! Aaarrrrggghhhh men !!!!

Well done ashastar for resisting!! I’m so sorry I don’t have any real advice about R as the girls have never really done this. I suppose consistency and keep trying to get him to settle himself etc. How is he when you go on holiday? Does he struggle to get used to a new bed then? Has he got a nightlight or a cuddly for reassurance?

Heather how are you settling into life in England now? Has H got his next appointments through? As for your DH - men!! Why does he think you need to go the doctor? For hormone checks or something? You’ve 5 kids in a new country, a massively stressful job,no wonder you’re tired!!

How is everyone? Cheenab I cannot believe T is almost one!! So sorry about Z. I was teased at school for being small and L is almost the smallest in her class, kids can be so mean. I worry so much about L getting bullied. Every parent’s worst nightmare I think. Hope the school sort it.

Not much to report here. DH has been ill and I’ve not been 100% either so been a bit tough but girls ok and in good spirits. X

Hi Heather, my DH has a high sex drive and whilst I always thought mine was fine, it has always caused us massive problems, for years and years, it is pretty much the only thing we argue about (but he does manage to link everything to it!). He said exactly the same, he asked me to go to the GP, I said no as I know there isn’t an issue, we have it twice a week, sometimes 3, yet he’s still not happy! I’d rather he went to the docs!! :)

I really feel for you, I know they say communication is key and all that but he mentioned it 9 years ago (when P was born) and hasn’t stopped going on about it since :pinch: and now it is such a huge issue.

Hey ho, rant over! :)

I start injections in 5 weeks  I can’t wait to get started xx
