I know it's the most nerve wrecking call ever. Those pure embyrologists probably hear it in our voices every time we ring. Fingers crossed they are all doing fab and can be transferred on a 5 day so your other half can be there. X

All 5 embryos are still growing. 1 is a bit behind but they didn't seem too worried, it may catch up, it may not. But she said the other 4 are good quality and we're in on Saturday at 9am for transfer so hubby won't miss it!

That's transfer all done and dusted. I'm now home to two early blastocysts! I was really surprised they went with two but pleased as it gives us an extra chance.
Of the other 3 embryos, 2 have stopped growing and the other is behind the ones we transferred but they will keep growing it and see how it is tomorrow for maybe freezing. I've to ring on Monday to find out x

Brilliant news Janelle! So pleased for you :)

I think it's all over for me unfortunately, I'm 9days past my 3day transfer and I'm having pink staining when i wipe and feel AF on her way! I'm pretty sure I would be due anyday now so I think the progesterone may just be holding her off a bit but I feel very gassy, bloated and crampy......the exact feeling of AF :(

Hope you are doing better Hopefully xx

Ggirl I hope it's not. I'll have everything crossed for you.

I'm feeling ok, no symptoms other than sore boobs but they've been sore since before collection. This 2ww is the longest wait ever. X

I'm nearly positive it's AF...it's getting heavier :( Devastated as this was our one and only shot!

I decided to do a test just to see and of course it is negative.

I stopped having sore boobs about 3 days ago which I didn't think was a good sign so fingers crossed the fact yours are still tender is good :)

Well ladies I can’t believe I’m back on here again. I have been following all your stories but didn’t comment to much as it’s taken me a good few months to get over our last try. We had a NHS cycle which resulted in a positive test but I started to bleed and they said it was a chemical pregnancy. It’s taken a lot of time to consider whether to do it again as I turn 39 next year and I wanted to exhaust all other options. We are returning to RFC for a private round starting with my PTC appointment on the 28th November. I’m hoping I will get to start on my day 21 around the 13th Dec. Ggirl my heart goes out to you ,the coming days will be difficult but take the time you need . I to said never again but it’s surprising how time changes everything...that and a lot of saving !

Martha, I'm so sorry about your chemical pregnancy. That must have been so hard. Fingers crossed this cycle works out for you x

I called this morning about my other embryos, unfortunately none were suitable for freezing. I expected it but it's still hard to hear. All rests on these two little embabies inside me now! Stick little embabies, stick!

Janelle sorry to hear about your other embies. Its hard not to be deflated even when youve got good embies on board. Fingers crossed the two inside get all cosy and stay there. X

Hi Minnie, you don't need to bring anythg with you. They take you into a recovery room after and you are there for about an hour or so. There are about 3 beds in the room but there are curtains pulled round for privacy. The nurses there are lovely, they'll make you a cuppa while you wait. The nurses or the Doctor will come round shortly after to let you know how many eggs they collected. Good luck x

Minnie, try not to stress too much about egg collection, though that's easier said than done. I won't lie, it's a bit painful but the pain meds help and it is bearable plus it doesn't last too long, maybe 5-10 mins of the actual procedure (though getting it all set up etc takes longer). For me, they counted out from the other room when they got an egg and were able to tell me as soon as it was over how many eggs (though I didn't get many so maybe it's different if there's more). After that they wheel you in still on the bed to the recovery room and help you slide over to the recovery bed. You lie there for a while (about an hour) with your partner and the nurse will bring you a cuppa and biscuits. Every so often they check you (blood pressure, pulse etc) and make sure you're not bleeding too much. They will let you know when to ring the next morning to see how many eggs have fertilised. That's about it, really.
Good luck. Fingers crossed for lots of lovely mature eggs xxx
