Today was my last day!

Today was my last day of feeding Z!
10 months 3 weeks and 5 days

I am not happy, I don't feel relieved but then again. It is ok.
I will miss the closeness, the instant soothing power and the great bond this has given us.

I still have a weeks worth of milk in the freezer but am a bit upset that I wanted to give him at least 11 months of feeding but due to an early period has to stop a few days shortl...

I really do think that I have given him a great start and now I am ready to try to give him something else, hopefully a more energetic mother and a little friend?!!

I have given him tiny bits of organic full fat milk and his tummy has been ok so I think that this is our new route!

I REALLY will miss our snuggles

Hopefully we will soon have these without hiccies and bites everywhere in search of boob!

Hey don't be sad, be extremely proud that you have got this far!

Just because you aren't BF'ing doesn't mean that you are going to be less close, it means that Z will be coming to you for a big snuggle instead of a snuggle and a feed! :)

Awww chuck, I know you feel sad right now but you mustn't have any regrets about not going on for longer.

Whether you had fed for a few days, weeks, months or years it's hard when you have to stop.... we could all have gone on for longer but sooner or later this day comes for us all.

You've done so incredibly well... all those times when things were going wrong and you conquered them, you should be amazingly proud of what you've done and of what you're about to do.... and hopefully you'll be feeding another one soon....

I am fine...
I just checked the state of them and it is clear fluid rather than milk that comes out...
Not uncomfortable and Z is not too bothered.
He sometimes dives into my bossom but I can distract him by doing the same to him...

I think this will be ok!!

Sunshine ouch!!

Tonight is the last of the frozen boob milk.

Tomorrow will be solely cows milk! It feels very strange.
I got the swedish gruel that I bought the last time I was home so that will be the evening drink in the future...

Question... My nipples have now got yellowy white spots (it is not thrush) and as soon as I touch them they leak milk, proper full cream stuff.

Shouldn't this have gone by now??
