That would really bore me Spider! Its all well and good if you are making something new but fixing a bodge job is booooring! It'll be worth it though, the little fella will be able to display his achievements with pride :D

Job done! Wonderweb? Hmm now that's an idea. I have still one more to do, a little thin one but have misplaced it in the car somewhere - along with his woggle.

Torisen, I shall send you all my torn towels and expect designer dresses back!

Julie, get some of this!!!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bostik-80429-Sim…s/dp/B000TAWHMA

I get mine from Asda, you literally just glue stuff on. Providing that you're not planning on undoing any of your handy work it's bloody brilliant!!!

As a short person I have to alter every pair of trousers I buy and when hem comes down or if something has a rip in it then this stuff has it fixed in 2 minutes.

Go and buy some.... quick... RUN!!!! :snigger:

Oh, thanks Bells, that looks ideal to have in the cupboard for the next job. Means a trip over to Asda one Wednesday!

I love going to Asda but I always spend more than I mean to! We only have a morrisons in town, but there are 3 Asda's only half an hour away in 3 different directions! Ds could do with a new sweatshirt or cardy thing too, and I always treat myself to a pair of pants! They have lovely matching underwear sets but don't do the bras in my size - this is getting a bit waffly and tmi, see what the mention of Asda and shopping results in!!! :innocent:

I was a good girl and have sewn on all of DS' the hard way :tonguestretch:

It was a bloody nightmare though adn I confess there is one that I've not sewn on because there is no room and I'd have to unpick and resew 2 others to get it on.

As DS will be going up to cubs later this year I think I'll give it a miss - does that make me a bad mummy? LOL

No, lol, I lost the little thin one in the car somewhere and as I haven't really left enough room for it I'm going to ignore it!

This weekend we have to produce something towards a pet badge - he has been helping cleaning out (reluctantly) and feeding and this morning Billy (the parrot) actually let ds stroke him without taking off a finger! A first!

Ah yes, the pet badge. Caused a few problems in our house, that one did....!

We got there in the end though.

How fab to have a parrot! I only have boring pets (a cat and a dog).

parrot is great but can be a bit vicious when it's time to stop stroking and time to go back in the cage! He is a little senegal parrot, doesn't talk yet but is trying to say Hello Billy.

I thought I would just let you in on what my son said at Butlins the other week and I found it hillarious!! Hes 6 yrs old (only just). He has gone mad over a 6ft dinosaur called 'Dinosaur King' and he was going to be at Butlins so my son was very excited.

When it was time to watch the show my son seemed very deflated and when I asked him what the matter was he said 'well mummy, when he turned round I realised he's just a suitcase'. I couldnt stop laughing. What my son had seen was the zip going down the back of the costume!!!!
