mothers that breastfeed are just selfish......apparently!

so my MIL has just told me!! she reckons its cos we don't want anyone else to bond with the baby! cheeky cow, wish she'd mind her own business X(
she is so unsupportive, when i was struggling in the early weeks she just constantly kept on, 'oh just put them on bottles!' cos she had bad experience of breastfeeding but i'm not her. gggrrrrrrrrrr!!

what a stupid mare. i wish i could have bf when ds was born. stick to your guns. if women werent meant to bf then why do we lactate? its nothing to do with stopping other people from helping or bonding with a child. how does she thing you bond with a neicew or nephew?

Ohh i had this from family too - dont let her grind you down!!

Have you heard that breastmilk is not "proper" food too and its cruel to starve your baby like that!!! I kid you not. All babies must have formula!! I kid you not just a couple of quotes i had!! xxxxxx

Blimey Glitzy!!

Maybe if you expressed it, pasteurised it, dried it, took some of it away, added some stuff, put it in a tin, measured it out with a scoop then reconstituted it with boiling water... maybe 'then' it would be proper food.

How silly!

You should correct her and tell her they are your children, not hers and to poke her nose out! x

OMG I can't believe anyone could be so ignorant. I think you deserve a medal bfing twins - not an easy task as its hard enough with one baby for some mums. In am still sitting here nearly 12 months into breastfeeding and I have sore nipples for about the millionth time - down to teething this time! Anyway you rock so be very proud of yourself and either ignore your stupid MIL or correct her politely, inform her of the benefits and tell her its none of her business!
