post natal check up....do you have to book or GP send you a letter ?

hello ladies,

today it has been six weeks since i've given birth.....

haven't heard anything from GP yet....im just wondering if i have to book an appointment....? or are they gonna send me a letter...? mind you i droped my birth notice to my GP when DD's was nearly 2 weeks old.....would that make a difference?

Hi

I had to make an appointment with the GP for my six week check up but the hospital gave me one (I had two!). The six week appointment is also for your baby and we had a double appointment.

I'd give your surgery/health visitor a call and ask them whether you need to book it direct.

ttc since July 06. 8 cycles of clomid. BFP on cycle 5 (Dec 07) ended in m/c at 9.5 weeks. Second BFP on cycle 8 (May 08)

i phoned my GP earlier they said to ring back when DD's 8 weeks.....me and DD will have one appointment....my post natal and her injections...which is good...
