Very sore!

I stoped bfing H 9 days ago, prior to that had been doing one feed per day, for almost a week, before that 2, so stopped gradually.

My boobs, especially my right one (my left seems to be getting better, but not my right), are still very sore and tender, it really hurts, even if I brush very lightly against them and am not applying any pressure, if that makes sense!...the right breast seems very hard still, and lumpy, and today I have noticed a slight pink colour to the skin.

Is this normal? I have taken pain relief, but it hasn't helped, and don't know if I just have to let things run their course, or if things should be improving by now?

Thanks

Thanks everyone, I have just had a warm bath, and used the shower connection to shower hot water over the right breast, and I expressed enough, just to make it feel more comfortable, and it has really helped.

Will doing this mean it takes longer for the milk to dry up completely/breast return to normal?

You are not expressing any amounts so it won't make that much difference in time.
I am still lactating and I think I stopped in early october.
