It's fine to give berries as long as they are introduced slowly and mashed up well as the size and shape of them mean that a baby can easily choke on them. With strawberries it's advised to wait a while longer, especially if there is a family history of allergies.

Hmmm, at the nursery we wait until they are a year old just incase but it is fine to give them before this as long food allergies are not common in your family.

I'd start with the other berries and then introduce strawberries last. I'm sure some of the other mummy's will be able to tell you when they gave them to their babies!

I didnt know you were supposed to give strawberries later. I gave them to Isla from 6 months. I pureed them and juat gave her tiny amounts at a time. She was fine. Her first taste of them was hilarious. She screwed her face right up, cried, then went um,um,um and ate the lot!
