HELP!! Stage 1 carseat for freelander??

Hi I had a bad crash the other month (luckly DS was not in the car) which has ment a new car, great, so bought myself an 02 landrover freelander 5 door but my carseat doesnt fit! Looking on the internet it seems they are very hard to fit as you get a lot of "buckle crunch" because the buckle straps are quite long.
Does anyone have a freelander if so what car seat do you have or do you have a car with long buckle straps?
Husband is going to take it to our nearest mothercare hopefully this wk but having been without a car for nearly 5wks its starting to get annoying lol
Thanks in advance x

Can you try the Isofix or Familyfix? I am not sure if your car has it or not?

Maxicosi do a belted base, the easybase, and their cabriofix car seat just clicks onto it, saves messing with the seatbelt every time and it's very sturdy.

a relative gave us an eclipse and even though ti was supposed to fit in our car (Ford C-max) we were never happy with the fit even in the middle seat. We bought an Isofix one in the end.
Have you been to a shop where you can try them in your car before you buy it?

Hi hun

We've not got a freelander but my mum has a Cayenne which my DH thinks the seats are similar and our DD1's carseat fits in really well. It's a Pallas 2 in 1 **not a FZ endorsed link** it's pricey but lasts them ages.

Hi hun i did look at them online as it was metioned somewhere else also that they might fit, how does DD1 get on with it, i'd like to go see one in the flesh as it looks a bit scary lol but they have quite good reviews and are very safe? Is there much room as DS likes to carry about 100 teddies with him in the car???

Hi hun

DD1 hated it at first, it was a bit of a battle to get her the first few times but she soon got used to it and now climbs in and helps pull the front bar bit on. You can't get many toys to fit in the car seat, our DD1 tends to perch them on the front bar bit.

We also have a Pallas and my DD love it. We got it on offer for £120! Our DD lift her arms up so we can strap her in ad looks so comfy!

If she falls asleep she either leans back or sleeps on the cushion quite comfortably.

I can't reccommend it enough. There is no way my LO would go anywhere in the event of an accident. We really love it.

Our miracle was born on 25.02.2010!!

I'm glad you've got one that you are both happy with, even better you got £70 off the asking price! :D
