Can anyone help please!!! I am new on here looking to do PGD in Genesis Cyprus in 2014

 Hi, everyone I am new on here and feeling completely over whelmed as I am 4 mths pregnant having a boy this will be my second son with my husband who is 53.I am 38 I found out last week the gender of our baby we were both devastated I cried in secret all week. We did the Shettles method and girl diet to sway the odds but it didn't work :( as we BOTH so really wanted a little girl to complete our family, I feel so awful as I know we should be happy we what we got but I just can't stop thinking about this all the time and it has consumed since my after my first son 11 years ago. But now it's totally consuming me. We were going to do pgd before we decided to go down the more natural root. But I found it all very confusing and didn't know where to start. Every child is gift I know and I feel very blessed indeed and I am coming round to the idea of a lovely son. I contacted the clinic in Jordan but they are not very good in replying back this was a year and a half ago. We would love to go to America but cannot afford pgd over there, so I am thinking Genesis in Cyprus I have sent an email to them haven't heard as yet, Anybody know any lovely ladies that have been?? Worried of my age I do suffer health problems too so I am hoping to go when my new lovely son will be 7 mths old out there to give two cycles ago and pray that it works. Any advice would be very welcomed indeed :)))) xxxxx

Welcome to FZ

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I hope you like it on here with us all and you soon settle in with us.

There is a PGD section HERE were you can get to know others having IVF with PGD. I think most if not all the people that post in that section need PGD because of genetic issues meaning either they miscarry or have babies born with genetic conditions.

Good luck!!

Are you aware that this is a fertility forum? The forum is for women who have fertility issues and many of our members have spent years of heartache longing for a family or years enduring the pain of losing their longed for children.

I am explaining this to you in the hope that you will understand why you may not get any replies to your post, as you have described the devastation you feel at expecting a son. On this forum our members are likely not to understand that feeling as they would give anything just to have a healthy child of their own, no matter the gender.
