not feeling baby move at almost 17weeks?

Hi everyone im currently 16wks and 4days. This is my 6th pregnancy (3losses and 2live children) my first pregnancy I felt baby move at 16wks then the next 2pregnancies I felt babies move at 14 wks (miscarried both of them then had an early mc too) then got preg with my son who I felt move between 13 and a half to 14 weeks (when I say move I mean like the early flutters. Im a bit concerned as I have still not felt flutters off this one... has anyone else had this with subsequent pregnancies? Feel like im going mad lol x

Oh bless you must be worried. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know if I'm any help but I didn't feel bubs move until I was 18 weeks and then it wasn't everyday.

I know they say that you can feel it earlier second, third time round etc, but not everyone is the same.

Contact your.midwife and get her to listen fir a heartbeat to set your mind at ease. Xxx

Ah WMG sorry you are going through this. Not quite the same but I didn't feel my DD until I was almost 24 weeks. If you are worried I would call your midwife x

Hi ladies well ive felt like something wasnt quite right since I had my cervical stitch put in (just over 2 weeks ago) so I did go midwifes and heard the heartbeat at 15 weeks so that made me feel better at the time but I just find it strange how this is the only one I dont seem to have felt move yet. I know they say every pregnancies different I just find it odd x

Hi, Hun
It is not uncommon to not feel baby move until 19-20 weeks, even when it is not your first. Also, if the placenta is anterior (i.e. at the front) it can also be more difficult to feel baby move. A friend of mine never felt her baby move even up to the day she delivered at 39 weeks although I think that she is an exceptional case...

So sorry you are having this horrible worry WMG, as everyone has says each time really is different, as you know. I am sure everything is absolutely fine, and as Rene says maybe due to the placenta. Sending you lots of hugs and I am sure you feel things very soon, even though every day is probably dragging atm xxxxx

I have been wondering about the placenta too although in my last pregnancy the placenta was anterior but still felt him move although everythings probably in a different position now isnt it? I cant wait to actually feel it properly move then I have the reassurance then x

I am so sorry you are having this worry after all you've been through.

My DD3 had an anterior placenta, I couldn't feel her kick as much either, the first time I felt her kick was a few weeks later than my other girls. Having 2 other kids to run around after does mean you can be rather preoccupied so you can miss some of those tiny flutters and kicks in the early days.

I am sure your MW wouldn't mind checking your baby's HB again for you if you ask.

I hope your LO decides to give you a few hard and reassuring kicks tonight to put your mind at ease.

xxxx

Hi Hun, please try not to worry, I was exactly the same as you second time round as I didn't feel baby move till almost 20 weeks whereas first time round I felt flutters at 14 weeks. Turned out my placenta was anterior which was why I hadn't felt anything.
Do u have a Doppler? I used mine most days just to put my mind at rest. X
