I'm ICSI. My hubby has azoospermia (zero sperm) so it has to be retrieved surgically and ICSI is our only choice.

hey ladies hope your all okay

just to let you know we have cancelled this cycle :-( my nana is in icu, she is very poorly, it doesn't look good :-( also had tooth out wednesday and i now have a swollen infected cheek, it just isn't the right time to start treatment.
wishing you all the best for this cycle and hope there is plenty of BFP's

i will hopefully be all set for next month, so a large glass of vodka is well needed tonight.

Good luck ladies xx

Ellek, you should start your down reg then on this day 21.

Lolawishes hopefully they'll have your schedule ready for you and you'll get your meds that day. As your so close I would give them a call and they might tell you if they have your plan drawen up

Lolawishes, I think they will prob have to post out your schedule as you won't have started your period (unless it comes early). But I imagine they will talk you though it all so you'll have an idea when you'll start everything then it'll be confirmed when they post your schedule out to you.
Elle K, if your day 8 on your PTC then they will print out your schedule at the appointment and you'll start spray/tablets etc on day 21.
Good luck ladies!

Hi ladies! I'm new to all this and will be starting everything in October -just waiting on confirmation of screening and PTC which will prpbably fall towards end of Oct. i was just wondering if any of you know whether you can travel in between these times? I was always told you cant once treatment starts but as it would be in between first screening appt and PTC then i am hoping it would be ok?

Glee, I can't imagine there's any problem traveling between the two appointments as long as you don't miss either of them. It would be more of a problem once you've started injections as you can have extra scans schedules at short notice x

Hi Ladies, Glee you can travel between appointments - I had a holiday between my blood appointment and my PTC and then again while on the Spray (you can bring it with you). The only time you can't travel is once you start your injections as they may need to monitor you and bring you in for scans at short notice I think.

I am due to start stimming on Saturday and am feeling a little anxious as i'm not convinced the sprays are working and i'm concerned I may be about to ovulate - i'm having all the normal symptoms of it and I had my period at the normal time, there was no delay on it at all which I thought there would have been because of the spray. I am still having some light spotting which is unusual so i'm hoping that is a good sign but i'm really worried that I will ovulate before I start the injections and then it will all be a waste of time.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Hey GGirl, if your really worried give the nurses a call and see what they say. I'm sure that it's all fine but would be best to put your mind at ease. Maybe you could take ovulation tests to see if your going to ovulate, maybe that might help put your mind at ease too.
I'm on the spray now too and am not feeling much on it, think my period is about yo start which would be around when I think it's due (I'm quite irregular) and I was expecting it to be late too but everyones different. If you're using the spray as you're supposed to then I'm sure it'll all be fine. Do you normally taste it in your throat after you use it? X

Hi Janelle132! I had considered doing ovulation tests but I don't have any about the house and wasn't sure if I was being silly - I might go and get some maybe just to check.

Yes I always taste a little bit in my throat - I try not to sniff too much after I take it as that makes it go down the throat quicker. I have been taking it as I was told to but I only felt side effects in the first few days and since then nothing at all so I guess i'm just worried I haven't been doing it right or it isn't working - I didn't realise I was this much of a worrier before now lol

My period was exactly when it should have been and was a pretty bad one too - and i'd read people saying their's was delayed and very light and short so everything is just different that I expected it to be.

Give them a ring, better to say and let them know and they will prob be able to put your mind at ease. I read somewhere that if your doing it right you should taste it after a few mins so sounds like you're on the right track. It will effect everyone differently civil sure it's fine x

Ok so I phoned and they aren't concerned at all - they said if I have had a period and it was normal for me then I am to continue and start the injections as advised! She said that I may get some signs of ovulation as I would most months but that means nothing as if i'm taking my spray (which I am) the ovaries will be suppressed and I won't actually ovulate.
She said it is possible that I have never properly ovulated or it is possible that my body will go through the motions of ovulation without it actually taking place.

So basically just do as you have been told to do and shut up lol

She was lovely and told me not to worry and just to keep going :) I feel a bit better!

Ggirl that's good that your feeling more settled. The first is always the most daunting.Took my ages to actually do it between saying I was going to do it then I wanted my hubby to do it then back to me then I didn't want him to watch lol. I also pressed the needle gentle against my skin which was obviously not going to go in. Got there in the end and it did get easier. Good luck with your 1st one.

Hi Hopefully2018 x I am feeling pretty normal...have had a few tiny things, headaches, tiny cramps, a little back pain, felt a bit sick twice, slightly tender boobs, which could be great but could be the drugs or just completely coincidental...

I am going mad!! Have rested more this time, which means more time to think which is never a good thing is it... Lots of nice dog walks and pottering about really.

How are you doing? Xx

Dusky hopefully good sign of your little embie settling in. Did you get similar feelings with your other pregnancies?

I start injections on Thurs and can't wait to get started again. Are you taking much time off work? I took week off last time and worked from home the 2nd week. It's good to be distracted but my clients obviously didn't know what was going on and they just behave as normal and give you a hard time. I might take 2 weeks as I did find myself getting stressed with work last time that I could have done without.

I had implantation bleeds before and I didn’t last time or this, which leaves me with no PMA, tho I know each time can be different...

Very exciting to get started so soon, I quit work just before the last cycle, I was a Nursery TA and notoriously understaffed and it was quite stressful, lots of lifting etc. I know a lot of people say it’s all down to the embie and there is nothing you can do but I really think the more relaxed and destressed the better. Wishing you so much luck for your cycle hon xx

Hello Dusky, hope 2WW is going as quick as it can. I recall you have had previous FET and I just wanted to pick your brain, interestingly the nurse advised that the protocol I am on, I will not bleed in my 2ww.

I was grateful for this information, because my past 3 failed cycles I always bled early, so at least my expectations won't be raised. I was wondering if you had any knowledge of this? I appreciate I won't be in my 2ww until 1 November , all being well.

Hi Glee, yes it is spray on CD21 and for me it was injections starting 16 days later and continuing both for another 11 days!

Although it depends on the schedule they give you etc but for me i'm basically a month from starting my spray to egg collection - if all goes to plan obviously lol

Hope this helps :)

Day 3 of my cycle

Hi Ladies,

I am due to possibly start the natural cycle on Monday. I had ivf last November which resulted in an eptopic pregnancy. My fsh is now 14 so have to go with the natural cycle. Am waiting for a second scan and bloods on Monday and then I’ll know if I’m going to start this month.

Anyone had the natural cycle before that can give me any advice or info? X

It went great Hopefully2018 - honestly didn't feel a thing! I have done 2 now and so far I am a little bloated but not massively - probably too early.

I have been having spotting since my period ended which is unusual for me and just wondering if anyone else has experience this or has heard of it? Is it normal? its not a massive amount and mainly just on wiping but doesn't seem to be going away.
