November cycle buddies

Hi Ladies,
I haven't written into the forum in months. I think I shutdown and blocked the forum out after my miscarriage in June. I am finally back to myself and feeling strong enough, to give it another go.I will soon be starting my 2nd FET and have started taking Chinese herbs along with accupunture. Has anyone tried It?
According to my day 21 I should be starting again on the 7th Nov. Any of you lovely ladies starting around that time.x

Hey baby cakes, I have my bloods tomorrow and PTC on the 29th, but I miss my day 21 by 3 day’s then so have to wait until the next cycle on Nov 23rd, hoping it all goes as planned, wish I could have gotten in earlier this month, I haven’t tried anything apart from reflexology which I think is great for helping us relax if nothing else.

I have found acupuncture good but I would be wary re Chinese herbs and their compositions. I am into essential oils but was told to ease off them. Not worth taking the risk. x

Hey girls, I have a silly question about PTC- what if your day 21 fall on the actual PTC day? Do you have to wait for the next cycle? Or can you start on the same day? Originally my PTC was on my day 22 but I'm a day late ( it's usually few days either way) so if the AF starts tomorrow I'll be day 21 or if it gets delayed, would be day 20 on the PTC day. Also, our appt is 9.20 in the morning, so maybe that could help us out with not needing to wait another month?...

I think they’ll let you start then, I don’t think they’ll make you wait. To make sure you could ring and check to put your mind at rest.

Jo31, thanks! Delayed another day so should be all good!
Babycakes, seems we'll start at the same time- I'll be on day 20 on the 7th of Nov(PTC day). It's my first attempt at the IVF.
Looks like it will be some Christmas for quite a few of us...

Well ladies I can’t believe I’m back on here again. I have been following all your stories but didn’t comment to much as it’s taken me a good few months to get over our last try. We had a NHS cycle which resulted in a positive test but I started to bleed and they said it was a chemical pregnancy. It’s taken a lot of time to consider whether to do it again as I turn 39 next year and I wanted to exhaust all other options. We are returning to RFC for a private round starting with my PTC appointment on the 28th November. I’m hoping I will get to start on my day 21 around the 13th Dec. I to said never again but it’s surprising how time changes everything...that and a lot of saving !

Hi all, just back after the bloods app - getting excited and scared at the same time! First time in the Royal, nurses were lovely though the wait for parking was mental (about 50 mins)...

Martha, sad to hear but hopefully all be better this time round!

So sorry to hear that Martha. If I'm honest after the miscarriage in June, I didn't think I would try so soon. There are so many hurdles and it is hard to get back up again after you are continuously knocked down.
We had our PTC last Thurs the 18th and my period was due the next day. I was so disappointed I didn't get my treatment schedule. Instead I had to call the "period hotline" on Tuesday morning and await it in the post. My day 21 is the 10th November. Can't wait to get started again.

Well hello ladies
Amro it has definitely been a hard few months but I’m ready to get back on the horse so to speak lol.

Babycakes I can’t believe we are back on together !
I’m in for my PTC appointment on the 28th of November. My cycles are now back to every 28 days which means my day 21 will fall in or around the 10th of December. I’m really hoping they let me start ,but given it’s Christmas time there’s always the possibility that appointments are limited and I might be pushed back to start in January . Either way it means I will be cycling the exact same time as last year... nervous as hell but a little excited to.

Had my PTC today, was given all my drugs and told to ring to get my schedule when my next period comes. They nearly give me the wrong dose of injections so was a bit of a job changing that over. Lots of information to let sink in.

They send you over to the pharmacy to get the blue bag of drugs, when you come back she goes through the bag to show you everything and my injections were all benfola 225, she said straight away that your meant to be on 450. She said the pharmacy won’t take back something they’ve given out, she left to ring them, came back and my husband was sent back to switch it over. It meant he missed all of the drug demonstration and side effects, but better that than not knowing I had the wrong stuff, I wouldn’t have had a clue.

Hey Lola, I only had my PTC last week and the nurse told me to make sure I had a decent breakfast before 6am as we would be in a while. She said we would be hooked up to pain relief and to just day if it was too sore. She said I would feel a sharp pain as the needle went through the wall to the ovary and then each time it went into a follicle. She says it shouldn’t be too painful.

Hi ladies, just had bloods done today, was 45 mins late as Royal was gridlock, rang them and they said no issue they heard it was bad!!

My PTC is 20th nov and day 21 is the 23rd nov which leaves me very tight for Christmas break, she said they do a deep clean over a 2 wk period so I really don’t know how my schedule will fair out at all... any of you ladies ever been through this at Christmas??

I had my PTC today and due to it being on my day 20 was hoping to start tomorrow but it wasn't meant to be...they couldn't squeeze me in the appointments so will be starting 1st week of December. Need to phone once my period arrives and will get my schedule in the post. Sprays and Bemfola 300 for me.

Hi folks my PTC is on the 28th November I’m hoping they will start me on day 21 which is the 10th December. It’s similar to my cycle last year and I ended up not getting started to day 21 in January because of the closure for deep clean. Have a feeling in my gut the same might happen again.

Hi folks..i hope everyone is having a good week. I started my nasal spray on Saturday 10th. Transfer is on the 15th dec. So my 2 ww will be over Christmas. I don't know if that's a good thing or not. I've been granted leave over Christmas so at least I can take it easy. This time last year we were starting our first round of Isis, I started sprays on the 27th Nov and everything was held off until January. I had my transfer on the 11th January, then I over stimulated so all was abandoned and our embryos were frozen.
I had a endo scratch on Monday so fingers crossed it makes some difference this time. I'm feeling positive at the moment. : D xx

Hi Martha ... yesssss here we go again is right lol

Ok girls I got my meds today so basically because my day 21 is next Friday I can start my sprays then. I’ll be on the max amount of days we are allowed sprays for. If my day 21 was any different they would have been telling me to wait until after next period to start. She said they are telling lots of girls they have to do that because of Christmas holidays and it’s so busy to get appointments in. So I made it and no more. I don’t start injecting until 27th December. First tracking scan on New Year’s Eve so egg collection and transfer etc will all be in early jan.
Hope that makes sense it’s so hard to try to explain.

Can’t believe my meds are in the fridge!! Also the nurse said you will be using nasal spray for quite a long time hope it doesn’t make you too grumpy over Christmas .... yikes watch out I’ll be the Christmas grinch this year x

Hi, hope you don't mind me butting in.....baby cakes when you over stimulated, who made the decision to freeze all? What are your symptoms? I had 20 eggs out on Monday, 12 fertilised and I now have 10 still looking ok. I was given Cabergoline tablets to start on my trigger date for 8 dsys as at my svsn last Friday, my ovaries were looking big. Since my EC I've felt rough. Belly pain, bloated and sore to lean to the side, and very constipated which hurts too. My transfer is booked for Saturday but I'm concerned the embryos will waste if my body is all swollen inside xx

I’m getting paranoid that I’ll have to wait, I had my PTC on Oct 29th and my meds are all in the fridge. Because I was passed my day 21 I didn’t get my timetable, I had to ring in on day 1. This was last week on Thursday and I still don’t have it, they said if I hadn’t got it to ring back next week. I’m due to start Nov 28th, if I get told i have to wait another month I just don’t know what I’ll be like!!!
